That's kind of the way things are run up in Edmonton. Just ask the Oilers.

With a username and story like that, this thread demands pics be posted.

And yes that place blows. Many better places on Whyte or Jasper to go IMO.

I'm totally let down by this thread, there's not one mention of lingerie pillowfights.

I was in Edmonton a couple of weeks ago and spent a whole weekend in the mall and actually had a blast. Went to Empire two nights in a row and drank my face off. Went to the water park and had tons of fun and ate in a couple of restaurants down on bourbon street and didn't have a problem. Didn't eat at the Red Piano though. So I'm from Calgary and don't have a problem saying that staying at the Mall in Edmonton with friends and causing trouble was a great time. Sorry your weekend wasn't as good.

Naked pillow fights aren't enough? You need lingerie pillow fights too?

LOLOLOL!!!!!! and this is why CP is awesome...LOL!!!
as for the trip, i didn't book it. i just agreed to come. i can't shun that filthy mullet wearing place as 2 of my best friends live there. however, even THEY agreed that we will never have girls weekend there ever again. it'll either be in calgary or some other place, vegas or something. the other thing that pushed us over the edge is that all but one of us LOVES sushi and theres like 2 sushi places in all of edmonton? WTF!
anyway, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOURNS crapsh$tfilthmonton.

Yeah, hard to have sympathy here...

Any weekend trip to Deadmonton is going to end in anger, bitter dissapointment and a nasty case of the clap.

Better to hang out in Ponoka then it is to go to Edmonton.

Is Piano bar code for something?

I've never heard of these, or understand the attraction if they are what they say they are.

It's a bar where performers play pianos sicko...

Seriously never seen one been to one? They became a bit of a fad maybe 5 years ago here in Alberta, there's still some left.

it sounds pretty ######ed to try and explain what a piano bar is, but i'll try.
basically instead of a dj in a pub, theres 2 baby grand pianos and 2 ppl playing these pianos and they can also sing. they can usually play pretty much any song taht is requested of them. they're called dueling piano's.
they always get teh crowd involved and its actually super fun. i highly highly highly recommend aussie rules, it's a blast. they get the whole crowd up on their feet and sometimes up on chairs dancing to songs and sometimes they do songs that require actions.
again, sounds ######ed, but it's an awesome venue for stag's/stagettes etc...sometimes they pull ppl on stage for bdays or whatever other ocassions there might be.
they'll play songs like ride sally ride and make ppl do the actions, its pretty hilarious.
its also a great place to take ppl in from out of town. my friends from england absolutley LOVED this place...so much so that when they moved back to england, we had their going away party there.
