Ah, so you are the reason my ETA went from 1-2 days to 7-10 days.

I guess I can wait another week to make every data port in the house live. It's not like the rabbit will be using the one in her room as much.

Not bad, resolution is a little low for a 24" though. I was interested in that, but I'll hold off until a better monitor comes around.

I picked up a switch as well. I've been dreaming of the day I can wire up both my apple tv and ps3 ... currently my ps3 is running on wireless and it just isn't working out.

I did and it was a hellish experience to run a single line so I only have the one. Problem is when I picked up an apple tv I couldn't stream HD content without a slight lag. While somewhat minor, the lag was driving me up the wall, so I unplugged from my ps3 and wired up the apple tv and the lag was eliminated. Obviously the ps3 doesn't run as smoothly online now.

Yeah, when I've been running cat5 all over the house I have had people ask me "why don't you use wireless for everything." Russic's experience tells me why.

Yes, I'm sure it will get better over time. Until that day happens I can still plug in anywhere I want now.

Like I said ... running one line was hellish. My basement is rather interesting. It isn't really developed, but it's more than just framing. My day of running cable was an exercise in anger management. I actually think I developed 3 or 4 new racial slurs. I'd much rather just pay $20 and get a switch to put behind my entertainment center.

Having a fully wireless house would be awesome, but as the technology grows so do the files we jam through it. I've got my music piped all through my house wirelessly now and that's about enough for me. Anything else that needs strong performance needs a line.

I will say it again.

Never route cables again. The 200mbps ones are more than fast enough to stream HD movies via media centre to Xbox360.

I really enjoy having my entire house hard wired..every phone line is actually a CAT5 slot, so I just plug in and enjoy Shaw internet from any outlet.

Just ordered one of those 24" monitors for $249. That price is just too good to pass up.

Probably not the greatest for anything professional, but for a bedroom TV or xbox monitor it's pretty damn good.

Thanks for this thread!

Yeah both monitors are a good price for what they are. I have a real hard time resisting some of these deals.

That 30" is a really nice deal!

Too bad I don't have the cash to spend on it

Damn this sale! I've been looking for both Casino Royale and Surfs Up for under $30 each and couldn't find it. Now they are bundled together for $30 total (what are the bloody chances of that?). Shame I'd have to get Hitch as well.

Hey I'd take Hitch off your hands, but am contemplating buying the set myself, as I want Casino Royale. Not so much with Surf's Up.

If you haven't seen Surf's Up you should. It has a surfing chicken that is always stoned. The comedic possibilities are endless.
