Yeah, I agree they sure can be two different things but in the broad sense they are just two different kinds of stupid. One is lack of intelligence the other is lack of thought.

Again is it really that hard not to kick shoes at a cop? Is that asking too much of people today?
Plus the so-called beating is not even close to someone getting raped.

Watch the video again. It's pretty obvious the cop asked her to remove her shoes and she complied in a flippant. Bitch obviously had it coming.
EDIT: How anyone can defend the savage beating of a 15 year-old man, cop or not, is absolutely beyond me.

That was beyond what is considered reasonable force. The girl was not too smart for kicking a shoe at him, but the beating she received was way over the top.
I hope the cop gets raped in prison.

I hope he gets convicted and thrown into general population in jail. No special treatment or protective wing of the Prison.

You know what I like, the guys here who are slamming the cop for his actions, and then they turn around and hope that the father brings buddies to beat the cop up, or that he gets raped in prison, or that he is put in general population.

Regardless of what the little "bitch" did, police are there to protect, and clearly he used unnessesary force with her.

Is it really that hard not to viciously assault a defenseless female minor?
Is it asking too much of the most powerful people in our society, that they act with decorum, restraint and empathy towards the people they have sworn under oath to protect?
Is it asking too much of people to not brutalize others that society trusts to leave in their charge?

The cop in question is accused of breaking the law. Even if you believe he's justified in beating the hell out of a little girl, it's against the law. So, is he due for a beating?
I mean come on, he assaulted a child. A "man" was punching a girl in the back of the head while he was lying on top of her, and you are saying "it's alright".
If the guy in the video wasn't wearing a uniform the same people who are defending his actions would be happily posting creative tortures for him to be subjected to and snickering about the sexual abuse he should receive in prison.
|
if I become a dirty criminal, and end up in jail. i'm fair game..throw my cripple ass on the floor and beat me senseless with a sock full of billiard balls.
that beating did look a little excessive, should have taser'd her instead.

The people looking for vengeance in either the form of a beating or prison rape IMO are out of line. However, why are you lumping those people in with the same ones that want him put into general population? If he is found guilty and is therefore considered a criminal, why shouldn't he be treated like any other criminal?

Exactly, if I beat down every idiot that swore, yelled, called me names, made accusations and passive resisters, I would be worn out before the day even began.
The guy completely lost it, who knows what lead up to the point that he snapped but regardless, in law enforcement you cannot let your emotions control your behaviour.

That officer did what her parents should have done long ago and maybe she wouldn't have been in a police station in the first place

That's a good point. Children who are abused by their parents never get in trouble with the law.

Nope.
Just like it isn't that hard not to kick your shoes at cops.
Is there anyone here justifying what he did?
Does his reaction now cancel out the moronic act that she did to spark the whole event?
Can't he be wrong for overreacting and she be wrong for provoking the incident by acting like a jackass?
I don't get why saying that the chick who kicked the shoes at a cop is now seen as supporting the cop or justifying his actions.
It is very much possible to look at both individuals as idiots for what they did.

Laugh. How old are you guys? The good ol' days like when, 1995?
How should they have beaten her?
Even in the good ol' days, men didn't beat up little girls.

I just can't help but laugh at moon. Yes .. a 15 year old made a bad choice, and then got the beat out of HER by a full grown man. Regardless of how many times you say you're not defending his response, you posting about her doing something stupid "to spark the whole event" is developing a base of justification.
Just because you say you're not doing something, doesn't mean you aren't. You might not realize you are, but you are.

We are talking about a grown man with a gun at his side imbued with the authority to use it - the resultant responsibility that goes along with that power needs to be borne by him with restraint and decorum - or else he cannot be a cop. He should be held to higher standards than the Joe on the street (who would doubtless be charged with assault for such an action) not excused, however snotty the defenseless 15 year old girl may have acted. That he's a cop makes this act that much more reprehensible in my eyes.
