Wild turkey makes a rye, as does Jim Beam. As far as Bourbon etc, there are rules regarding the percentages of rye, corn, etc that can be in a liquor for it to have a certain name. I'm not looking that up though, if I learn anything new I'll forget who won Bud Bowl III
Here, stole this from wikipedia
Canadian whisky is whisky that by law must be mashed, distilled and aged at least three years in Canada [1] in a wooden barrel of not greater than 700 L capacity [2]. Most Canadian whiskies are blended multi-grain whiskies and are usually lighter and smoother than other whisky styles. They are often colloquially and generically referred to (and may legally be labelled) as " rye whisky" in Canada, though the U.S. definition of "Rye Whisky" would prevent lower-rye-content versions from being so labelled in the U.S.. Although rye is often a primary component in Canadian whiskies, the use of rye is not dictated by legal standards. In converse, the U.S. definition of "Rye Whisky" does not have aging requirements, and younger (even Straight) U.S. versions would not legally be labelled "Rye Whisky" in Canada.

Lasko isn't going to have as much gas (is that the right word? bite?) as maybe Kokanee (ok that was a terrible reference, but I don't have many coming to mind) but man is it silky smooth. Its an awsome beer to go with a meal like pasta, sort of like how wine compliments some meals except its beer.
Ozujsko was a great beer too, I almost forgot about that one. I'll have to see if I can find one some time.

Alberta Distilleries makes rye whiskey that's 100% rye, one of the few in the country that do so. I like their Alberta Springs better than just about any other Canadian Whiskey (though I prefer scotches and bourbons over Canadian).

No offence to anyone but some of these posts are ridiculous.
People who say their favorite is Kokanee/Canadian/Blue/Keiths and their least favorite is Bud/Pil etc.... THEY'RE ALL THE SAME BEER.
This reminds me of liquer runs in high school, when kids would arbitrarily and randomly chose one of the mainstream bears to drink. So you would have an order like: 6 pack of kokanee, 6 pack of canadian, 6 pack of etc... A flat of any of those beers would have done just fine.

Now I will openly admit that most of Tree Brewing's beers are horrible, but Hop Head is delicious! Make sure it is very effing cold though, and only out of a glass. You need the smell to appreciate it.
Of course, if you've been cleaning up hoppy dog puke for a while now then I understand your aversion.
I just can't believe you'd call ME out over BEER???

I enjoyed "End of the World" beer on New Years Eve in 1999-2000. I thought that was appropriate with all the apocalypitic predictions and Y2K and all that stuff. The stuff tastes great too.

I agree Trad is by far the best of the Big Rock products.
Also, first time I had Hop Head I was in Kelowna stoned out of my tree. So Hop Head becomes Pot Head really easily.

I have to disagree with you here. I can taste the difference between Kokanee, Pilsner and Canadian. I had a buddy who said the same thing, I told him I could drink them unlabelled and tell him which ones were which. I nailed it everytime. Pilsner is gross, Kokanee is great IMO. I know they are supposedly very similar, but I can tell the difference.

Beer: I enjoy all the Big Rock except grasshopper. That one never grew on me. The beers I had in belgium were the best I tasted, but are not the same over here...Chimay was my favorite though I enjoyed all of them actually. Orval was a close second.
The beer I read about on CP and tried is probably my current favorite, though the cost is prohibitive. Innis and Gunn. You need to try it folks, it is spectacular.
Worst beers: Molson products, MGD....and I'm not a fan franziskaner, lowenbrau or hoegaarden.
