I don't get worked up about who actually wins grammys because neither how they picked the nominees or how they picked the winners ever made any sense to me.

I see Katy Perry is getting by on her teats, because she can't sing or dance.

She really could have used a microphone... That performance was just... all-around awkward.

Okay, the Paper Planes/Swagga Like Us performance was awesome. It was kind of weird to see M.I.A. rapping (well, lip-syncing) with a pregnant belly, though

Is it just me or does Rap lose something when performed live. I mean I get that awards shows are a pretty sterile environment.... But it just seems like a genre that does not translate well live, which is paradoxical since its origins are from street culture.
I don't know... apparently I'm missing something, but every time I see a live rap performance, it seems devoid of any atmosphere, feeling or cohesion.

Well, I think it depends more on the performer... Justin Timberlake for example is well known for being a good performer and he's sort of in the same genre of music now... and woops now he's doing one with TI... bet it'll be good.

Agree with that. It rarely translates well (unless you're The Roots... in which case it's ridiculously good). It's funny with that performance though... Lil' Wayne and T.I. (especially him) are considered among the best mainstream rappers in term of performance.. but it was alright. That performance was a big one for hip-hop though... those are arguably the biggest 4 acts right now within hip-hop all on one track.
Radiohead should be interesting... have they performed yet?

Thanks for the heads up, I turned it on when I saw this thread and there was Mrs. Radiohead Light introducing them. I haven't been a big fan since ok computer, but it was a pretty impressive performance.
It was on at 10:25 eastern if you guys are watching it delayed.
