I definitely live in Calgary, and my power lines are above ground.

I am in that club.

Nevar!!!

On a day like today, where the snow is pure powder and there is no risk of something like this happening, I clear all the windows, headlights and tail lights and nothing else. Have you ever seen what your paint looks like after a winter of snow brushing? It's brutal! Yet in about 1 minute of driving on Crowchild my roof is clear. As long as you aren't following too close it shouldn't be a problem.

Kind of a d-bag thing to do, but hey, I guess I'm a bit of a d-bag.

Yeah, but this is understandable. I do the same. A light dusting of snow is no reason to break out the brush. I'm bitching about the dbags that drive around with 4" of snow on their roofs. And even then it's a bit of an on-site call. You can't expect school bus drivers to climb up on the cheesewagon and bust out a broom. But these losers driving around in Toyota Corollas with a half foot of snow on their roofs and their back windows all covered from the snow blowing off the roof and sticking to the rear window need to be executed.
