Funny I never once brought up race but was speaking about ebonics, because your earlier post seem to suggest it.
Ebonics, a blend of ebony and phonics, also known as Black English (per Meriam-Webster)
Main Entry: Black English Function: noun Date: 1968 : a nonstandard variety of English spoken by some African-Americans —called also Black English vernacular
So, by bringing up ebonics, you are bringing up race. You were the one who assumed it was a black person speaking.
The language I used displayed a person lacking education, not speaking ebonics. Picture an uneducated white person saying the same things, still works.
What, in particular, points to ebonics that could not also be a white person without education? Let me answer that one, nothing.
You have made an erroneous assumption.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids - $500 sneakers for what? I can't even talk the way these people talk, 'Why you ain't,' 'Where you is' ... You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!"

Now they need to add elimination, but instead of shooting from the free throw line, they got to shoot from the three point line.
I'd also like to see a dunk contest open to regional dunk contest winners (not neccessarily basketball players) or something like that. Get some gymnasts to do triple backflip dunks, or some long jumpers to dunk from the three point line, etc.

I was thinking the same thing, we called it Bump when I was a kid. Although I didn't think anybody here would know what I was talking about. I loved that game.
I'm sure most NBA players have some great trick shots up their sleeves - Harlem Globetrotters kind of stuff. Shots very few people could make.
Especially with no home court advantage. When I had a court in my backyard I had this shot I could consistently hit from behind my shed. Couldn't even see the basket but I had that one in the bag for winning Pig and Horse comps. LOL I made that shot so many times.
My other one was my CNIB(Canadian Institute for the Blind) I practiced a foul shot with my eyes closed and could also make it far more often than not.
I can just imagine having the jumps these guys have, adding a bunch of elements to the shot and coming up with some pretty well guaranteed letters for the other players.

Yeah, we also called it bump, but I don't think there's an official name anyways.
Getting the public to a dunk comp won't get much attention I don't think. They already have gymnasts and what not dunking during half time and the breaks in between quarters.

Might want to get a more recent definition than 1968 because ebonics has spread a lot farther than the African American community since than...

*sigh*
1968 is OBVIOUSLY the date of first inclusion in the Meriam-Webster dictionary, not the last date they updated the definition. Otherwise, their definitions that say "15th century" would be in a language harder to understand than Shakespeare and the King James Bible. It is their business to remain current (relatively) on definitions of words. That should have been apparent.
How about:
African American Vernacular English: a nonstandard form of American English characteristically spoken by African Americans in the United States (Princeton University)
Ebonics - a nonstandard form of American English characteristically spoken by African Americans in the United States (the free dictionary.com...wow that sounded similar, who stole from who?)
Etymology: Blend of ebony and phonics Ebonics is the African American's linguistic memory of African languages. Ebonics was coined by Robert L. Willams Ph.D. in 1973 and published in his book: Ebonics: The True Language of Black folks. (allwords.com)
Definitely! But that doesn't play much into my opinion on this. But yeah, I certainly wish I could dunk....even touching the rim would be nice!

Ahh yes, Bump. That's what we call it too, the name just didn't come to me. The game has got to include bumping the other ball away, or even out of the cylinder, but you can only use your own ball to do the bumping.
If the public just did average dunks, it wouldn't get any attention. However, if you could get some gymnast to do a backflip dunk (jumping from the floor), or a long jumper to dunk from the three point line, that would be worth seeing. Or even some decent basketball players that have time to actually practice a specific dunk over and over and over again to perfect some crazy new dunk.
The lineup has been announced: Durant, Mayo, and Johnson. Three emerging stars (okay, Johnson isn't exactly emerging), unquestionably, but I was really hoping this would involve elite players.
