Wow. That pretty much sums up my worst nightmare right there. How anybody could listen to that once is beyond me. I mean, I try like hell to not be a music snob ... but sweet jebus.

troutman the younger had a big party when his parents went to Europe for a few weeks. The turntable was not working properly, so the La Bamba single was played over and over for a few days in a row.

In the old basement suite I lived in my University days, the insensitive ***holes upstairs would either be drowned out by music, or suddenly find that they had now power. Goot alove having the house's fuse box in your suite.

I once had a roommate that had a serious drum set. Some of his friends and my other roommate would jam in the basement with him and it was LOUD but I didn't really care. We were living in a townhouse but it was an end unit and the couple that lived next door were deaf so the noise wasn't an issue. Or so we thought.

It turns out that they had a non-deaf college age daughter. One night she came home from the bar hammered so naturally we invited her in to hang out. When we discovered that she wasn't deaf, we apologized profusely about the noise. She didn't care but she did pass along a story about how one time she was at her kitchen table with her parents when my roommates were jamming in the basement and her deaf father told her that he could hear something. My roommates took pride in the fact that they were so loud that the deaf could hear them.

a friend of mine had a roommate in college he wasn't too fond of (they had rented a house). He'd be studying and they'd crank up the Best of Stomping Tom Connors on cassette (good old auto reverse) and leave the house, locking the door to his room of course.

I think I could actually put up with that much more than Stompin Tom. Then again, if I was at a softball game, I'd probably be drunk so it wouldn't matter.

You're lucky softball camp isn't this month. I'm all Gordon'd out. Brad Paisley is the new Gordon Lightfoot.

I went out Camping in the Sushwap for a long weekend. The guys the campsite over played the "Collective Soul - Greatest hits" album over and over again for the entire weekend.

We Cranked up Blackalicious the entire weekend to counter.

He'd probably just say he was doing it on purpose to piss the OP off.

Well, atleast that's what I said when I got caught playing "The One" by Backstreet Boys on repeat....I thought I was the only one home!

This story just made my day! Thanks for that.
