Cool idea for a concept album, although I'm a sucker for literary allusions in music. Wasteland in particular would be great for musical adaptation, I think.

-Travel more, and not just back and forth between Toronto and Ottawa, which is what I am doing now. I would love to go across Canada, get back to Ireland, and visit my buddy in Australia. He keeps trying to get me there, but it never works out for me. Travel just never works out for me.
-I'd like to take up a sport or take a dance class or something.
-I'd like to spruce up my place, get some better furniture, etc. Even though it's been awhile since I was a student, I feel it still looks like it did when I was a student. Mismatched furniture, etc.
-Get through the giant pile of books and movies that I purchased and haven't gotten around to reading/watching.
-Learn to play guitar.
-Have a date for Valentines Day, it's been years since that happened.
-See my nephews more often.
-Find my passion for writing again. Going through the Journalism program sucked all the joy out of it, I haven't been able to just write in a long while.

Short term: next 6 months
- finish my second university degree
- stop spending money that I don't have
- try to get organised again (used to be very organised, but lately I'm in disarray)
- start reading again for fun
- start working out again with my buddy
- play squash again
- try to keep it going with the girl I am dating

Medium term: 6 months- 2 years
- move out of my parents place
- pay off my loans
- get better at photography (I need to get more technical I think)
- get a dog (labrador type)
- decide if I want to take a master's degree, and in what!
- join a beginner hockey team and learn to play a little bit

Long term: over 2 years
- buy a place
- get married
- buy a sports car/classic car
- get another hobby (fishing? hiking? some outdoorsy thing)
- get Flames season tickets

I hate the word goal but this probably good for me so:

Short term:
Get a 3.5 or higher GPA this semester.
Work out 3 times a week every week.

Mid term:
Travel to Europe, especially Germany for a couple months.
Get a decent job over the summer.
Graduate.
Write a couple movie scripts.
Get better at poker.

Long term:
I don't know.

For the next year:
-find a new teaching job, not very happy in my current position
-start my masters in educational technology
-get involved more within Red Deer. I am looking at getting an umpire certificate so I can ump little league baseball
-would love to get to a gym on a regular basis and work off some of this fat.
-pay off more debt, I have almost paid 2 of my 3 student loans.

I have two goals:

-meet someone and fall in love (everyone who's single has that, I'm sure)
-become a police officer. That has been my goal for about 6 years now, and I have yet to achieve it.

Goals are good. Mine are mostly business related because it directly affects my personal lifestyle. Make more money and you have more options.

- finding a nice location for a studio
- become the best photographer I can possibly be, which leads to...
- shooting a celebrity wedding, which leads to,
- getting international recognition for my work so I can get international clients, which leads to..
- move to Hawaii or somewhere warm near a beach to base my business out of
- travel more (I want to see S. America and Africa)
- sponsor a child
- own international property
- stay in shape
- be the best dad I can be to my boy
- buy an exotic sports car
- learn Spanish and Italian
- learn ballroom and crump or pop and lock
- travel to S. America and Africa
- teach photography
- meet amazing people

A couple of my friends have done this and they said it was a real eye opener. A lot of it is setting up and teaching the people there how to use technologies, which is really cool, a problem that the USA version of EWB is, is that they just spend a lot of money dumping technology into African countries without teaching the people how to maintain the technology, so when it breaks down it's useless. The Canadian version is a lot more hands on from what I've gathered (from a lot of EWB meetings...in my house...)

As for my goals...
- Work for an NHL team as a physiotherapist
- Fight in the UFC
- Own a Lamborghini
- Help make a positive impact on the homeless situation in Canada
- Get married and then stay married
- Keep the family (big family) close (my Grandma kept us tight knit prior to her passing, don't want the family to drift)
- Hunt deer with a compound bow
- Be happy/content with my life, just enjoy every moment

Not all are realistic, but if I can get one or two down I think I'd be happy.
