Just say that you have a brain injury too.
Then ask her who she is and what is she talking about.

ever been concussed? You can get a concussion from the movement of your head....no blood no contact needed, concussion arises from the movment of you brain in you skull and then it's sudden impact.
Who care's what she said or how she look or acted.

i never said she was not working....I inferred that a brain injury with cognitive deficit could result in a 6 figure award

Well she'll have to prove she has a brain injury.

yes she will.....so the question is are you a gambler....your policy says you need to do certain things when you have an accident...ie: like report is in a timely manner (I am para phrasing). Should you wait....1 2 3 4 years and then show up with a statement of claim that is support with medical documents, your insurer may not be too happy

As others have said, if you have not already given a police statement and notified your insurance company you need to do that today. At the end of the day it is not your problem. This is why you have insurance. Her story sounds pretty odd but you changed lanes and and that was followed by an accident. Let the insurance company handle it.

I agree with your first part. Closed head injuries are not uncommon. If her head was whipped around when she hit the bridge she could have been injured.
However, your last comment, aside from sounding a bit dickish which I am sure was not your intent, is not quite right. If she came out of the car with blood streaming down her face then that would be relevant. The lack of indicators of trauma is also relevant. If she appeared dazed or confused or was dizzy those would all be indicators of an injury. The lack thereof also speaks volumes.

I apprecaite your benefit of the doubt. Correct how she looked at the scene could be relevant or it could not be. You can not say she was not injured by because she did not appear injured. Did Flame3132 do a primary or secondary survery on her? Is he a doctor/paramedic/nurse...first aider. People jump on the "they did not seem injured too quickly"
Forgot to mention I am not taking her side...just saying

There are a lot of people out there who will milk any sort of collision for money. Some lady tried to sue my buddy for whiplash when she drove into the side of his truck (her fault). Judging by the picture that collision wasnt overly severe. Unless she drives with her face 6 inches from the wheel I doubt she smoked her head and recieved any head injury.

flame 3132 - I wouldn't recommend talking about a car crash in a public forum.

First of all, if as you state, there was only 1 to 2 ft distance between her front bumper and your rear bumper, you cut her off. You cut her off no matter what the weather was, as 2 ft is not sufficient distance even if you are driving on dry pavement in the middle of summer.
Secondly, she may in fact have a pre-existing brain injury. My wife got a mild concussion about two weeks ago when she slipped and hit her head quite badly. The concussion has been diagnosed by her doctor. Apparently, the effects of a concussion (headaches, etc.), take quite some time to get over.... months some times.
If the lady says she has a pre-existing brain injury, I'm sure she has medical records to back her up.
