Pretty sure the CFL and NFL have an agreement whereas there can be no transfers after a certain point. I also think that player can only be active for x number of games at that point too, any more than the limit, and he's stuck in the CFL for the year.

I think the timeline is within a week or two before/after Labour Day, if a guy's going to the States, he has to go by then. I think that carries through until the NFL season's done.

I recall a Stamps returner a few years ago got sat for a game midseason, waiting for the Rams to foward him an offer that was agreed on. If he would've played that week, he became ineligible for the NFL that season.

Reading the Herald Letters to the Editor lately and I must have read some negative comments about Sandro's interview after the Grey Cup. Maybe those people were complaining were non-football fan or just hate the Stampeders team even though they live in Calgary.
They were saying Sandro don't have any class and arrogant by complaining about losing the individual awards and rubbing it in when he won the Outstanding Canadian in Grey Cup game. One guy even mentioned good riddance and so on.
The question is, should we blame Sandro for complaining? The guy is competitive and he was ticked right off for being ignored even though he led the league scoring points. Yes, that wasn't probably the best time to vent his frustration but I would probably do the same if I was in his situation.
Anyways, I hope Sandro stays next season and for a long time. I hope he continues the kickers legacy here like JT Hay and Mark McLoughlin(those are the only two kickers I've seen played). I am sure there was that Larry Robinson guy from the past and others.

The thing is, Sandro wasn't just upset about losing... he was upset about the vote being (apparently) not even close. He said he got his ass kicked and that he was completely destroyed and blown away in the vote totals.

If I led the league in points and was the most accurate kicker in the entire history of a 100-year-old league, I would be pretty pissed about getting blown away in a lopsided vote to a guy from Toronto who returned a couple of touchdowns.
