This is the person you wanted to be vice-president and who is likely trying to set up a run for prez and she doesn't have the wherewithal to stand up to a cameraman knowing that everything she does is scrutinised or is too dumb to realize what is going on behind her? Do you really want your president to have either of those characteristics?

John McCain didn't want video of him having trouble walking shot while he was on the campaign trail and for the most part his wishes were respected. Barack Obama wanted the media to focus on the crowd directly behind him a campaign rallies and he made an effort to make sure there were lots of whites and ethnic races along with the blacks in that area. The media respected his wishes for the most part. The media treated them both with professional courtesy. Sarah Palin should be given the same professional courtesy. She shouldn't expect that a wardrobe malfunction or something going on around her will be used to make a National story out of a small State wide holiday piece. There is reasons why cameramen are trained professionals and News rooms have editors.

"This is what the Republican Party has done to us this year: It has placed within reach of the Oval Office a woman who is a religious fanatic and a proud, boastful ignoramus. … On Nov. 4, anyone who cares for the Constitution has a clear duty to repudiate this wickedness and stupidity." ―conservative writer Christopher Hitchens"
"I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door. Show me where the open door is." –Sarah Palin, on running for national office in the future, FOX News interview, Nov. 10, 2008"

And If Sarah Palin had of "wanted" to not have this background, she would have gotten it too. She's just to dumb to know better.

I think you're missing my point. If she's not going to run in 2012, then this doesn't hurt her. If she is going to run, and doesn't manage her own image or have someone managing it for her then she's not very bright is she?
You seem to forget that it was reported that she was asked If the background was okay and said nothing. How do you know the cameraman knew they were going to start slaughtering during the interview. Maybe the cameraman assumed it would be quick and done. I like how you try to shift responsibility for managing Palin's image onto the media, If what you say is how the world works, why hire media consultants at all, just tell the news what you want them to show!

Ahh so that's it: You atheists hate her because of her trust in God. Your like the kids who made fun of the smart kids in school because they intimidate you. Nope that's not irrational at all!

Especially after the interview she just gave
Quite honestly, any day, any time, I would love to have 10 minutes in a battle of the wits with Sarah Palin on anything thats not about Alaska exclusively, caribou's or living cooking moose chili. And I'm really no expert in politics or history either.

I'm not a Palin fan but because she's supposedly a "country" person the slaughter thing is probably just business as usual to her. I don't know that that makes her an idiot, but yeah if she plans to go on in politics she's got to understand it's NOT business as usual for most of us !

Having some turkeys and a table with a couple killing cones in the background fit with the reason why she was there: To pardon a Thanksgiving turkey. Allowing butchering to take place during the interview ruined the purpose of the shoot. Even hunting magazines won't publish pictures of kills where the bloody wounds are shown. They know it would be offensive to some.
Governor Palin was obviously unaware of what was taking place behind her. She would have looked foolish if during the interview she was looking around. You look at the camera and glance at the interviewer. You don't look around and behind yourself.

Wrong again, I believe in god. I also believe in hiring the best person for the job and not blindly following some careless incompetent because she may be one of us. Obama also believes in god but he'd get my vote because so far he's shown his ability.

Yeah I love the metaphor of atheists as the 'dumb kids' The reason I am able to post so much today is that I am sitting in a psychologists waiting room waiting for my 7 year old son's giftedness assessment to be finished. The kicker? He's already decided that God is a fairly unlikely scenario, just like he's pretty strongly questioning Santa and the Easter Bunny (although he seems willing to suspend disbelief a little longer out of motivated self-interest)

Ha ha ha. Yep, the smart kids. Find that big boat yet?
I don't hate her at all. I think she's dumb, and it's got nothing to do with her religion.
If you don't know that turkeys are being slaughtered directly over your shoulder, and you can hear the machinery doing the slaughtering, you might not be just plain old dumb, you may be developmentally impaired.
Anyway, do we hate Obama because of his trust in god? He brings it up all the time.

I didn't call them dumb kids. I called them just kids. The Bible calls them fools. I thought I was being quite generous actually.
So do you rely on your 7 year old to handle your portfolio as well. I mean if he can determine the non existence of God conclusively at such a tender age making you rich should be a snap.

Surely you can't be serious with this statement? Her belief and trust in God are a complete non-issue. How can you honestly watch an interview with her and think she's intelligent and well spoken? In any of the interviews I've seen she doesn't have the first clue of the issues she's supposed to be talking about. Show us an interview that demonstrates her (so-called) intelligence that you seem to think she has...if you can find one.

They're in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom." --Sarah Palin, getting the vice president's constitutional role wrong after being asked by a third grader what the vice president does, interview with NBC affiliate KUSA in Colorado, Oct. 21, 2008 ( Watch video clip)

Always avoiding the meat of the statement (ie it was Palin that was spreading hate) with non-sensical babble.
