its the internet, too much BS on the internet. no one believes anything. probably thought he was just trolling.

suicide is just another way of thinning out the herd.

no sympathy here.

I've seen a few people on here that get repeatedly picked on by adults.

Well stated! People can say pretty hurtful things and hide beind the anonimity of a message board. Sad situation.

It's not attention whoring, it's a cry for help. Your ignorance towards suicide and depression is astounding

Exactly...and there were any number of people on that board that could have reached out to him and tried to help him, but instead he got a bunch of jerks who told him to do it. Even calling his cell phone and leaving a message telling him to do it. It's disgusting and I hope every single one of them feels remorse about how they were towards him.

I doubt you'd get much remorse out of that crowd. Having read through some of the two earlier "epid" posts it seems pretty clear to me that forum was a massive hive of ######baggery and small-dick overcompensation. I'm not sure their average member is capable of inward reflection - which may not be surprising given that most of those guys likely spend most of their days looking at themselves in the mirror.

What happened on the board was inexcusable, I agree. I'd punch any one or all of them in the head.

But I have to agree, not a lot of tears shed for the 'suicide victim'. If that's what he seriously wanted, that's his choice and everyone should respect that.

If it was a cry for help, well, maybe people should have been better to him, but maybe he should have been better to himself.

There are a lot of people in a lot worse situations struggling to live.

Agree people should have helped. I would have if I saw that.

However, ultimately his own life and his own responsibility is in his own hands.

As I mentioned, there are people all over the world struggling. You've got kids in Africa been through ethnic cleansing, trained as soldiers at 10 years of age. Seen more death and evil than you will ever see. And they push forward.

I can't cry for this 'victim'

And Yes I understand depression, And I bet you Flames Gimp does too. But if I ever made that decision, it's MY decision. Good or bad. Thought out, or misgiven.

In a world of 6.5 billion, with 20-50% of it really fighting, no one needs to wring their hands over suicide.

Sorry if that sounds cold. But I have been there in all aspects. The people that I have saved, the people that I didn't get to (probably couldn't have, didn't even know) and myself.

I'm not saying it's bad either. I'm just saying, it's a decision.

What interests me here is the question of any legal culpability on the part of the posters or the forum itself. This would really have been interesting had that myspace bullying/suicide case had a court decision at that point.

It's also rather amazing to compare the culture of that forum to the culture of this forum. I guess that's the difference between roid monkeys and hockey fans.

No, it's not that easy. People don't always know where to go for help or better than that don't know how to help themselves.

I'm a suicide surviour and have been down that road.

I agree, it will be interesting to see what happens to the site (and the offending members) legally.

What they did was disgusting. And someone, SOMEONE should have tried to help.

They're body builders, what do you want/expect?

No it's not a desicion.

"Suicide is not a matter of choice. The profound depression that motivates most suicides is a disease. This disease causes a level of pain so profound that it twists one’s ability to assess risk, to make good
choices, to maintain a sense of future possibilities. When people act out of this depression, they are not exercising free choice. They are falling victim to a disease. This disease is not about logic or self interest. It is about an immediate desire to be dead."

Quit while you are behind.

A kid with his entire life in front of him is dead and you are proud to proclaim that you have no sympathy.

I'm wondering what your angle is here. Is this Internet-tough-guy babble, or are you just cold-hearted and clueless?

That's how everyone else sees it, so you might as well tell us which one it is.
