I haven't done any instances since the patch, other than going into Scholomance with a buddy. Mage and a Feral Druid (both 70s) and it was easy.
I'm curious to see what some of these zones are like now. It's rumoured that Kara can be 7 man-ed.

I wouldn't doubt it, my guild dropped Moroes in 15 seconds.
I spend most of my time in battlegrounds.

How is that game, anyway? I love the whole Civ franchise, but this one seems a bit different to me. Is it still fun?

I'm sure you could probably clear Kara with even fewer than 7 if you were over-geared for it.
My current guild tried SSC for the first time on the weekend (I'd completed it before with a previous guild). Only five of the twenty-five people in the raid had ever seen the zone before, but we still cleared 5/6 bosses total (four of them on the first attempt) and only had one wipe the entire night (wiped after getting Leotheras down to 10% then killed him on the next attempt).
We also tried Mount Hyjal despite most of the raid being equipped in T4 gear or worse, and we managed to kill Rage Winterchill on the third attempt. We probably could have downed Anetheron too, but we only got in one attempt before breaking for the night.

I like it. It's kind of a cutesy, watered-down version of the PC game. You can get through a whole game in 3 hours or so, so it's more of console-type game.
There are some new and different features too, so it's not totally stale either.
One thing I find is that other cultures seem to get really aggressive with you when they feel cornered, even if it's obvious you would crush them in a war. For the style I play, that's kind of nice because I don't have to go to the trouble of starting wars. They come to me!

Crazy. My previous guild went into SSC (before it disbanded - well anyone worth their salt quit - 2 months ago) and only got down Lurker.

My Kara group used to take about 3 hours for a full clear (no wipes). Sometimes we could push 2.5 hours if we were really on the ball.
Last week we went through incredibly lackadaisical as we were putting our new builds to the test.
By the end, we were pulling 2-3 groups and just AoE'ing them down like nothing. This is with a warrior and a druid doing the tanking.
Took us about an hour and a half. I doubt it will take us longer then an hour this week now that we know what we are doing. Chances are, we will be able to clear ZA and KZ in the same 3 hours it used to take us to clear KZ alone. BOOSH!

It's a combination of two things:
1) All raid mobs and bosses have had their health and melee damage reduced by 30%.
2) The new talent specs aren't balanced for level 70 content, so pretty much every class is over-powered in PvE at the moment.
Blizzard did this purposely so more people would get a chance to see the current raid content and finish off whatever dungeons they're working on before the expansion is released. They admitted that they originally made Sunwell Plateau too hard, so nerfing it should result in any guild that was in there before the patch finishing off Kil'jaeden in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, the rest of us get a chance to see stuff like SSC, The Eye, Mount Hyjal, and Black Temple. Hyjal especially is very cool, and I hope my guild spends at least a few more nights in there over the next couple weeks.
As for Karazhan, we ran a group through there last Wednesday and completed a full clear in 3:05 with only one wipe (which only resulted because we were stupid and tried to LEEEEEROY! the entire ballroom). Our group consisted of 1 tank, 3 healers, and 6 dps. Three healers was overkill and entirely unnecessary given how fast everything died, so this week we're going to go with 1 tank, 2 healers, and 7 dps which will result in an even faster clear. I can see "Karazhan speed runs" becoming a new craze.

A well geared feral druid could solo Scholo before Bliz enabled easy mode.
Some of the raid bosses are so easy its not funny. I can't remember the name of the boss as I'm not much for raiding, but one of the highest bosses in the game involves a dragon fight and a demon fight simultaneously, where you have to take them down roughtly evenly. My buddy's guild took the dragon down so hard they literally had to stop attacking it before the end of the first phase so they wouldnt kill it before the demon half of the battle started.

I'm enjoying a re-play of Max Payne 1 & 2. These games stand the test of time pretty well.

For sure. They are 60 instances anyways. The difference this time was we didn't have a healer, and didn't need one. I almost never go in there (I'm a 70 mage), I do run Strath every so often with a 70 holy Paladin just to get 'chanting Mats. That was pretty easy, I can't imagine what it would be like now.

Also, on the 360 I've been trying to figure out how to play Madden 09 (I got my first touchdown the other day!!) but my whole game is not very good (both offense and defense). And when I get the time I usually try and get in a multiplayer game of Call of Duty 4 in. Not that great at that game either but it's coming.
Down the pipeline once I finish GTA4 I'm going to get started on Metal Gear Solid 4 and maybe try and fit in Dead Space (just bought it). I plan on getting Fable II and Little Big Planet this/next week so maybe around January I'll get a chance to play those.

better get started on COD4 cause the new call of duty is out next month i think

As I expected this spiralled into a WoW discussion
I played CS:Source, COD4, Battlefield Bad Company, GH3 and RockBand. Plus I'm addicted to braintuner on my iTouch.

How fast does Hyjal trash drop in 3.0?
That is by far the worst part of that raid, wiping on wave 11 or 12.
(Once again we're turning a topic into warcraft)

I'm playing EVE Online off and on since I don't have much time these days. The nice thing is your character progresses whether you can play a lot or not, so I run a few missions for cash here and there and I'm working toward flying a Heavy Assault Cruiser. (Still gotta learn Cruiser V though and that will take 22 days. Eep.)
Played Tiger Woods '09 pretty rabidly until I had to return it to Blockbuster. I would definitely buy it if I could play more than one course a week.

Blockbuster gamers pass = the best way for me to save money. Keeps me from buying every damn game that comes out.
What I've played recently? Star Wars the Force Unleashed (ok), Mercs 2 (lame), Brothers in Arms (...not bad). I'm about to fire up Oblivion and play that. I'm not letting myself get Fallout until I've gotten every damn 'possible' achievement on Oblivion.

We only cleared as far as the second boss, so I suspect we didn't see the worst of the trash (frost wyrms or whatever). Keep in mind that the raid group I was in would have been considered horribly under-geared for Hyjal prior to 3.0 (mostly Kara items or equivalent), and we still always cleared every trash wave before the next one spawned.
