I won more hockey tickets than I have credit limit for and will be unable to have the transaction go through, meaning I forfeit all the tickets.
Don't know what games I won, though.

Can you pop come cash on your card? Or call your CC company and tell them what's going on. I can't see a CC company not increasing someones limit.
Regarding tickets we have had a mystery amount show up on a card but it doesn't exactly match.

You were supposed to make sure your credit limit was appropriate for your request as of December 1. They even sent out an e-mail to make sure you did this.

Yeah, I know, but I am unable to increase my limit as I am a student and Visa won't increase it for any reason.
I didn't think of putting some cash on the account to cover the shortfall, good idea.

How did you find out that you won more than you had room for?

I got tickets to something, who knows what though. Unfortunately I only got about 1/10th of what I've asked for so far.

I'll lend you a couple of grand if I can get first pick on the tickets. ;-)
Seriously, I'm turning the big 4-0 during the Olympics and I'm not sure we got anything yet and I have to go to something.

Pretty sure I got one of the Gold or Bronze medal games as I was charged ~$1800 on the 5th. Anyone with charges get an e-mail today about ticket allocation? Thought they were supposed to update us on the 10th?

Got charged $2392. Had requested approx $7000 worth. Either I got multiple quarter final games or section B for the Gold Medal... cmon Gold Medal!!! Does anyone remember if these fees included tax/service charges, etc??
Can't wait for the email verification... the refresh button is working overtime in my email.

Log into the ticket site and it'll show you what you were charged. I noticed they are charging a $20 delivery fee so remove that from your total and you should be able to figure out what you got.
For example we were charged 554 which is $534 in tickets and fees. That lines up with out first choice of packages we wanted.

I got tickets to three prelim. hockey games.
...I haven't received the email yet, I just figured this out using the FurnaceFace method.

Cool, I have a method! (albeit short lived)
I logged back into the Olympic site and I see they've updated the My Request page. They now indicate what was allocated and what wasn't.

Weird... mine still doesn't say. Guess your method is still the best way to figure stuff out.
What kind of confirmation number did you have? Mine is in the 19900s which seems fairly low given the demand... hopefully that indicates GOLD baby.

Numbers could be random. They're likely updating everyone's on the fly and just haven't gotten to you yet.

Tried for four tickets to 3 events (2 speed skating events, 1 prelim hockey) and only ended up with a prelim hockey game. This kinda blows .
