Good win for the Stamps 41-30 and they are 7-4 this season.

OFFENSE:
I would be very surprise if Burris does not win the Offensive Player of the Week. He had a great game tonight with 5 TD passes and dodged a few pressure rushes and ended up making big plays. The best one of all is the last play on the first half throwing a hail mary pass to Teyo Johnson. Burris threw 5 TD to different receivers (Brett Ralph, Teyo Johnson, Joffrey Reynolds, Ken-Yon Rambo and Jermaine Copeland). I love having that big target for the Stamps in Teyo Johnson. Nik Lewis was playing well at the beginning but had to leave the game in the first half. Brett Ralph, Copeland, Rambo all had a TD receiving. Joffrey Reynolds had some good runs during the game especially late in the game. He is now the leading rusher in the CFL for the time being. The offensive line gave Burris some time but Derek Armstrong committed a few penalties. There is one incidents that Newman playing out of natural position were beaten by the DL but that was the only noticeable mistakes he made.

DEFENSE:
No QB sacks but they had 3 INTs(Browner, Anderson and Lysack). They played really solid in the first 3 quarters but made some mistakes in the 4th. Dwight Anderson committed a couple of major penalties. The first one Brandon Browner bailed him out with an INT. The second major penalty cost them 15 yards which helped the Als scored a TD. DBs played well overall. Take off the 4th quarter hiccups and it could have been perfect. The front 7 did well enough even though they didn't get the QB sack. The only problem was stopping Imoh. I think the score is misleading because most of the points Montreal scored was late in the game.

SPECIAL TEAM:
Coverage team did a good job on Bratton and Taylor. They punished them everytime they touched the ball. Sandro deAngelis missed a 47 yard field goal but that was hardly his fault. With the exception of the last second of the game mistake, Burke Dales did a good job punting. Okay, I won't say too much about the punt return of Howell especially because he didn't touch the ball much this game. Jennings on the other hand have potential. Thank god we have him instead of Nate Curry.

OVERALL:

Too many dumb penalties for the Stamps. Anderson committed two major boo-boos. OL Derek Armstrong got caught a few times. Browner's pass interference is a phantom penalty. Stamps also committed too many dropped passes. Other than that I am happy with the win. I hope the Stamps keep on winning.

Penalties made this game closer than it should have been. I thought Calgary played very well. Their defense is so physical I think it wears other teams down as the game continues.

Yeah penalties are still an issue for this team at times. The Stamps took 9 major penalties last night, unacceptable.

Yes, the pass interference before the 1st MTL TD was bogus. MTL seemed to be looking for a flag after every play, doing the throwing the flag hand motion. Just play the game!

Too bad Sandro had his streak ended on a long FG in the driving rain.

Did you hold your breath every time Hank went on a run?

The Hail Mary was awesome.

Browner gets flagged a lot because of who he is and how he plays. I must admit he deserves those flags at times though.

Did you hold your breath every time Hank went on a run? Yeah I did but I think Hank is healthier than I thought. I hope he stays that way for the year. He seems to be getting back some chemistry with Copeland.

The Hail Mary was awesome.Teyo Johnson is turning out to be a real find. You just don't see a guy his size catching balls in the CFL very often. I'm hoping they keep this guy around next year. He brings a wrinkle that I think will stymie opponents for awhile until they come up with a D to stop a big man like that.

Teyo is starting to remind me of that big slotback/wide receiver we used to have before he got injured in the NFL and when he came back to CFL, he was nowhere close. His name is Marc Boerigter ("Big Bo"). He's fast, big, good blocker and can catch the ball. With Teyo and Nik Lewis around not afraid to help the OLine blocking on the scrimmage we can see a happy Burris because he won't get hit as much. Those two can also beat any LB on passing plays.
