Either that, or the page itself is hardcoded to check for specific browsers. Like the manufacturer will only support Firefox/IE, so Opera, Safari, Chrome, etc just get a generic js error message.

Just giving you a rough time. Isn't there a way to dock it on the bottom? I haven't used winamp for 3+ years so what do I know?

It's all good. I was seriously wondering if there actually is something better.

I can dock it anywhere, but I just prefer it up top.

I just tried going to the link Troutman posted in his CIS Football thread (http://www.universitysport.ca/e/foot...l.cfm?id=12408)

I had my first real instance where Chrome was better then IE and FF.
I was trying to print of a detailed map from Google Maps and both IE and FF choked on it. I tried Chrome and it loaded and printed so insanely fast. Very impressed now. The multi threading is working well.

Brad or Ian!?!

EDIT: Chrome looks interesting. Worthy of a test run, even.

I like it so far, but scrolling sucks with the track point/middle button combo on a Thinkpad. It jumps giant chunks at a time.

Yep, it definitely needs the "Smooth Scrolling" feature than IE and FF have.

test run... it is ok.

Would take some getting used to, and since I am perfectly happy with firefox, then I will stick with it for now. Neat idea, and I hope google keeps developing apps.

Ok, so I scroll down with the mousewheel, but I can't scroll back up with the mousewheel?

Am I missing something here?

Lol, didn't see that.

First bug I had was the "flash video only playback 2 seconds bug", which is obviously from the flash player and not the browser.

Had a few crashes when I deliberately sought out some nefarious sites (search for cracks or keys for pirated games, that'll get you some really shady sites), and I never once saw the unhappy face and each time it completely froze Chrome.. all of it, so much for separate processes...

Gee I hope you didn't go to some of the sites that still target some older webkit vulnerabilities.

http://www.techreport.com/discussions.x/15438

Link details that Chrome will automatically download java apps, to the users desktop. still, not a problem unless there are combined exploits to run that app in the first place, and then who knows what'll happen next except a wipe and reinstall.

Yah, Google Chrome has a few holes it in. Not to mention the EULA essentially gave Google permission to use your browsing history for pretty much what ever it wanted to.

From Ars: ( http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post...change-it.html )
Quote:
Today's Internet outrage du jour has been Chrome's EULA, which appears to give Google a nonexclusive right to display and distribute every bit of content transmitted through the browser. Now, Google tells Ars that it's a mistake, the EULA will be corrected, and the correction will be retroactive.
Google is changing it though. And it is retroactive. Mind you, none of it probably could hold since you could compile it and run it yourself with agree to the EULA.
