Looks like most of these shows are on Movie Central - that's why I have never seen them. Who really has Movie Central?

For me, it's all about House. Best show I've seen on TV in a very long time.
Just finished re-watching season 4 to get ready for the new season 5. I can't wait!

Edit: Oh hey, Kitchen Nightmares starts this Thursday. Nice!

That premiere was terrible. Silly, unrealisitc plot. I honestly can't see how they can keep those storylines going for the next 7 months.

You know, for an oilers fans go you're all right! I've been looking for something like this for some time now so thank you.

We had it when we first got digital cable. It only lasted about a year in our house. Those stations are not properly named because outside of the Showtime and HBO series that they run (many of which I actually enjoy) rarely do they play movies I would consider watching. Don't get me wrong: I enjoy the mindless tripe that clogs the box office as much as then next guy, but the number of lame indie Canadian flicks or shows about stuntmen makes the programming hard to stomach.

With four stations (plus two more in HD) you'd think there would be something worth watching during prime time. Usually, you'd be wrong: http://moviecentral.ca/schedule/default.asp |

Yeah, moviecentral isn't great, but it's nice to have once in awhile for a couple more options. I hate watching movies on TV because of the commercials, and this obviously takes it away. And there's always movies that I enjoy in the theatres but not enough to rent for a re-watch, but if I see it on Movie Central, I'll give it a shot. But I agree, there's a lot of crap on there as well. There's this horror movie involving a bear in the woods that's so low budget, the bear looks so bad, it's laughable, and movie central shows it at least once a week. I think it's called Grizzly Rage or something like that.

Great, there's no way I'm subscribing to MC just for Entourage.

I remember a year ago or so watching a horror movie about bees. Really small budget. Horrible acting. Worse effects. I'm sure it had to have been a Canadian production. There's no way schlock like that makes it to air unless it's to fill some sort of CanCon requirement.

Instead of subscribing to MC, we've been a bit more liberal with the video on demand. When we feel like watching a movie, we pick one from the list and... well, that's all there is to it. Costs about the same as going to Blockbuster and it's way more convenient. We spend less than a monthly MC subscription and only watch movies we want to see. Doesn't work well for series like Entourage though.

All I can say is holy cow does Prison Break ever suck now. I was a little irritated when after they broke out in the first season, they ended up right back in another jail in Panama, but wanted to give it a shot since I loved the first season so much, but really lost interest in the middle of the 2nd season. Decided to try again last night, but stopped watching after the first hour... ugh.
