I bought GH: World Tour, I wasn't a fan of RB at all when I played it, I found the game play clunky, although I think the drum play might be a bit better.

I also find rockband too easy and i'm not an expert, but I can do most songs on Hard in GH, and I havent played it in months (until today).

Anybody get the additional "Edmonton Kit" for Rockband 2? It comes with a fake mullet and other accessories for $20 at futureshop.

If anyone has any information or has seen the game at certain stores around Calgary, please share!

I'm specifically looking for the entire Guitar Hero: World Tour "package" for Xbox 360. Can't find it anywhere here in the SW. Wal-mart apparantly didn't even get their shipment.

Since this is the Rock Band 2 vs Guitar: WT thread, i thought it was appropriate to post here instead of the Rock Band thread.

Beatles coming to Rock Band!!!!

I think they may sway some people who are on the fence.

so, a little disappointing news. The Beatles thing will not be a Rock Band Title, but a standalone product. Holiday 2009.

garbage. i was pretty excited but I don't like that at all. Download content has many drawbacks, but one big (big) bonus is that I don't have to buy what I don't want. I know a lot of artists don't like that idea claiming that it destroys the artistic value of the music to break it up. Personally I don't buy it ... I see their point but in the end it just seems like a massive cash grab. For instance, AC/DC preaches the evils of digitial distribution and releases a separate game disc for rock band, except that the material is live and not really an album as much as it is choice cuts. I'm sorry, but you want to preserve the artistic integrity of a greatest hits collection? Spare me.

I would have much more respect for somebody who just comes out and says "I don't want people to be able to buy a couple of my songs but would much rather they spend $40 and buy all my songs ... I'll make more money that way".

sorry ... guess i'm in a scrappy mood this morning.

yeah, I hope it comes out as DLC in parallel to their standalone product, or the very least, have it like the ACDC thing and have it exportable to rock band.

I bought world tour this weekend.. Got the two guitar package from wal-mart for $120 when they fudged up the price.. Its supposed to go for $190 but I wasnt willing to pay that for an additional 2 guitars when I already own 3. I must say its waaaaay too easy compared to GH3 and Aerosmith.. Pretty sad when I get 100% on my first hard song in quick play.

Yes, unfortunately, it was for about 15 minutes the day the thing came out.

My advice is go to Best Buy/Future Shop when they open the day they expect new shipments. I believe that is thursday.

I would cast vote for Guitar Hero WT solely because it has 3 Tool songs.

Your online play is crippled though, because no one will want to join your band.

i think thats a great release for them to have. though i own that actual album, i doubt i will buy the whole thing for RB. prolly monkey wrench and my hero. i actually bought that album back in the day as the band i was in in high school wanted to play everlong. man that was such a hard song back then!

i think for me to order a whole album, theres a very limited market. zeppelin, SRV, and maybe a few others that i really would enjoy playing the whole album.
