Martins with a goal making it 2-0, what a first half for the Mags.

God I can't stand that scumbag, that's beside the fact though looks like they're playing pretty good today, really though it's just West Brom.
I see David Edgar's on the bench for the first time in a few games today, hopefully he gets on in the second half

I think I read somewhere that he is supposed to be back for Aston Villa.
Edit* They 'hope' he is back for Aston Villa. Link.

WBA on the comeback path, 2-1 with 15 left. Never discount the Mags abilities to to screw up. They had better hold on to these points.

Well the Mags hang on to the win, not against an impressive team but a win nonetheless, something this franchise needed BADLY.

Well I'm about to head to the game tonight, should be a good one but it will be tough to get points against this Aston Villa team.

WOW what a match! Martins was outstanding tonight, he could have had 4 or 5 goals. First half was pretty even but the Mags dominated the 2nd half. Martins is just so damn quick, nice to see the win tonight, at atmosphere at St James was just unreal.
Oh and Carew is massive, very entertaining watching a man of his stature play.

Well after a couple of ok outings, Newcastle manages to pick up a surprising road point against Chelsea. They had the play handed to them as Chelsea dominated the chances and possession but in the end a great point for the Mags!

Way to hang on. Completely dominated but some good goaltending saves them. Thanks for the help!

That 2nd half was pretty messed up with all the fog that rolled in!

Anyone know how Damien Duff, one of my favorite players is doing?

Duff has been injured, and when he was healthy he wasn't exactly playing his best. But then again no one on Newcastle was really doing much.
Surprisingly the D is beginning to turn it around, Martins has been playing well and Owens when he is healthy is doing well.
The fans are still 100% behind this team though, great to watch/see at St. James Park.

That's a bit of a stretch, we haven't scored in the last two weeks. And haven't scored more than 2 since Coventry in August.

Yeah it hasn't been great obviously, but Owen was out for a few weeks and then only came on as a sub. He has 6 goals in a limited number of appearances.
Martins was also injured for a couple weeks. I guess I am just over-excited with them because I went to the Bolton game and the Aston villa game and in both games Owen and Martins played really well.

Owen with a 2 goal performance today but then another lapse in the final few minutes of home game causes Newcastle to lose the win and settle for a tie, pretty disappointing given how the game went.

1-0 Home loss today to Hull City puts the Toon out of the FA cup.
Meh.
