Glenmore Inn.

Did this about 10 years ago. It was great.

Out of town people have a hotel to stay at. They take care of everything, including meals, booze, I think DJ. We didn't do much planning at all.
I think they had different packages also, and we picked one where booze was free for 3 hours, then a cash bar. Our choice of which 3 hours.

Get married in the Atrium part there by a JP. Go get pictures while out of town guest go back to their rooms and/or go to the bar with in town people .

i need to tap the wealth of knowledge that is calgarypuck...

the fiancee and i are looking for a wedding venue. the catch is we want to have it in an old wood barn. ideally, we would be able to access the barn to decorate a day or two prior to the big day. if things work out really well, we may do the ceremony, reception and dinner in the barn, although just the ceremony would be ok too. we are wanting to have catering from a local restaurant, so the closer to calgary the better. this venue could be as simple as a derelict barn, rented to us for the day.

if anybody has any ideas or leads for us, we would really appreciate the help.

Sorry there is no visible signage from the highway for that train station place. Weird that they would not have signage????
