Another great old show to see would be Iron Maiden Powerslave.
They should resurrect that one and go on tour and they'll sell a lot more than they would with new material.

I'd love to see Green Day live.
Too bad they're banned from playing the Dome. Anybody know if that ban is still in effect? Ushers?

Their fans completely trashed the place the last time they were here. All those Olympic glass cases and other Flames memoriabilia were busted up.
C'mon guys, bygones!

Definitely Radiohead.

Still by far one of my favourite concerts I've ever been to. I saw them at the Max Bell on the OK Computer Tour. It was amazing.
I agree with those who said Nirvana. I wish I could have seen them live.

AC/DC or GNR
|
AC/DC is one of the best shows I've ever seen and G 'n' R is quite possibly the worst. Had front row centre seats at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto at the height of GNR hype, and they proceeded to put out one of the worst shows I have ever seen.
|
I saw a great GNR show around that time. They played for more than 2 hours, brought a couch on stage and played the famed "acoustic set", had a bunch of low-rent strippers (tassles!) serving beers and pizza to the band and the people in the front rows, 2 encores. Good stuff. This was in Edmonton though so maybe they felt more comfortable as that is a recognized headbanger epicentre.
The band I would most like to see is probly The Clash.
|
Both my sister and a guy I went to college with went to the show in Winnipeg and said they did the same thing. [/b][/quote]
yeah I was at the Edmonton show. I witnessed Axl get 'pleasured' orally backstage by an audience member while Duff was onstage singing lead vocals

my fave band by 1000 years wide.
also alan parson's project, if they toured, i'm not sure - i was in a crib at the time. i think they might have been a bunch of random musicians in recording studios.

I have seen Van Halen, Dire Straits and the Rolling Stones live. I would trade all for a chance to see Elvis Presley live in, say, 1957 or so.

Saw Radiohead at the Mac Hall ballroom. Which was unbelievable.
Saw Nirvana in Vancouver for the In Utero tour. Also unbelievable.

50's - Elvis or Chuck Berry
60's - The Beatles - 1963,1967 (San Fran last organized concert), and then lastly the rooftop concert at Apple 1969 Ithink it was.
70's - Pink Floyd (ith Syd Barrett), Led Zep, or The Velvet Underground
80's - U2, Bowie
90's - Really I guess Nirvana would be good in a club setting, and after that the 90's turned into a black hole for music. The Hip int he early 90s would be great.
00's - I wouldn't mind the Killers or Franz Ferdinand (hey give me a break they have some catchy songs)

Ahh............I would kill to see green day live. Their new cd is absolutly blew my mind. It was almost too good. If they would only come to up north again .
From what I hear their shows are pretty rowdy and I need some of that every once and a while.

I was at the Toronto SARS relief concert in the summer of 2003, which was headlined by the Rolling Stones, but the real headliners were AC/DC. They rocked 500 000 people to the core.
Other amazing shows:
Springsteen-it's hard to believe he's in his mid 50's...he moves around on stage like an 18-year-old.
U2-the last tour was amazing, a very emotional concert.
Neil Finn (formerly of Crowded House)-he puts on a very intimate, interactive show. He's got such a great repertoire of songs, and he wants everyone to go home happy.
Blue Rodeo-their concerts are just like one big party.
