You wouldn't happen to know the number off-hand would you? That sounds really really cool. I'll have to look into these sociology courses.

As for what I'm interested in...I dunno really haha. Nothing math related, and certainly nothing bio related (I absolutely detest Bio 30...of course it could be the teacher, but whatever). I suppose I'm more of a social-english guy I guess. Actually I quite enjoyed Physics too, but I don't see myself going anywhere with it haha...And I wanna be a garbage truck when I grow up! Too be a hundred percent honest...I'm no a hundred percent sure yet. I'm looking at getting into law, or maybe broadcasting like before. Or maybe I should just say to hell with it, stay home, and run the farm haha.

BIOL 307
ARKY 325
Any 300 level Soci.

No prereqs and they are both easy As. Arky is pretty interesting too - you just have to attend class and take a lot of notes, but the exams are easy. Also note, I never took a single Highschool BIO class and got an A.

Most Socis are extremely easy. I took Sociology of Religion with Swenson and he was a great teacher - learned a lot and got an A+ to boot.

Any History class with Paul Chastko, amazing teacher but the classes aren't easy by any means.

Sociology 325 H(3-0)

Introduction to Deviance and Social Control

Systematic analysis of theories of deviant, delinquent and criminal behaviours and the social responses to them.
Prerequisites: Sociology 201 or consent of the Department.

Sociology 399 H(3-0)

Sociology of Sport

Organized around the theme of social problems in sport, this course examines sports-related behaviour, consumption, and sponsorship. A variety of approaches shows how sport is socially constructed and embodies different meanings for different groups of people.
Prerequisites: Sociology 201 or consent of the Department.

I took 325 from this guy: http://soci.ucalgary.ca/profiles/kevin-young
He was fantastic. Doesn't look like he's teaching a lot of low-level undergrad classes anymore though.

But...but...math is awesome! I took math options because math is so awesome! And me no English good.

The only other courses I took that was really interesting was Japanese Civilization (JPNS...317 (?)). It was a hard course to get into, but it doesn't have any pre-requisites (from what I recall). It was basically a study of Japanese history and culture. I'm certain that there are courses like this for many other civilizations that you might be interested in as well.

Does anyone have a link to the latest timetable so I can look some of these numbers up? I wasn't having much luck finding it before.

Timetable as in the calendar of all the courses for the year? In that case, ask and you shall recieve!

If not...I've got no idea what you're talking about haha.

Having said that, he may now be retired as he was getting older when I left.
I also strongly recommend him . . . if he is still teaching that is. I still see him around campus occasionally.

Probably been mentioned, but Sociology 201 with Linda Henderson, without a doubt the best prof in existance.
