Will this one do?
The Foo Fighters' name was derived from a phrase in the Smokey Stover comic strip 1 that ran along the lines of 'Where there's Foo, there's fire', but the actual term 'Foo Fighter' was coined by US Airforce pilots in the Second World War to describe the anomalous balls of light that they saw flying alongside them at high altitudes. As well as naming the band after a form of UFO, Grohl also named the band's second album The Colour and The Shape after the two most common questions asked of a person claiming to have seen an Unidentified Flying Object (for the record, he also named his record label ' Roswell Records').

Nice to keep this thread on topic lol!
Never the less last night up in the sky , there it was.
Could it of been a light from COP? Not from that far away. And No I did not take any blurry pictures of it. What I saw and heard was 5 glowing dots in the sky ( I could hear the jet engines ), that just look like a regular passenger jet in the night sky. With the exception they moved alot faster than a passenger jet. Much like an F18 does from what I have seen in the past. I definately know 5 objects were in the sky moving at a rapid rate, yet I would not call them ufo's yet you can if you want to. I could not Identify them so you can call them what ever you want. Yet when you look up at the night sky, see a dot of light, most assume its just a jet plane. I do atleast.
As for the 6th object I saw? That is the one I question. I said an inch and a half long, bad description I know. Yet a jet plane in the night sky appears as if it is just a dot ( 1 mm ), this object appeared to be 40mm across and all lit up. As what I assumed were jets circled it. It was very large in comparisson.
Could it have been a light from the ground? Sure, I dont dispute that at all. Yet being circled by five other dots the way it was was very odd. Was it a light show? Could be, yet at 3am in the morning?
I dont know what I saw, I was just curious if anyone else had seen it.
I dont do drugs and was not drunk at the time, I do like to drink and if I see more stuff like this when I drink I will post it hehehe. It lasted for only about ten fifteen minutes and then it was gone. Yet it is the strangest thing I have ever seen in the sky.
UFO it is to me, by the definition. I dont know what it was.
Atleast some people are having fun with this thread lol.
This is the off topic forum so I thought I would contribute. You guys can all have a laugh at my expense.
Yet I did find it way interesting to find out today, we have landed an Earth vessel onto the northern part of mars today. Named the Phoenix. I did not no anything about this till I watched the news.
We got our first pictures back, unfortunately we have yet to find any Transformers. Have a good laugh at my expense. Yet I saw what I saw.
By the way for the doubters? I am not going to get anal probed without a good dinner first and being liquored up lol. You better be a chick though with three tits if you are going to attempt this with me lol!
Never the less have fun with this thread.
I will put up a fight with the anal probing stuff!

It might have been in flight refueling for the jets. Or perhaps an exercise of some sort.

Who would you report it too? City Cops? RCMP? Airport? Maybe a news outlet? Maybe searching local blogs? Interesting...

The true meaning of UFO is something that is unidentified, flying, and an object.
UFO does not mean you are dealing with Aliens. UFO does not refer to anything but the fact you cannot with your skills, instruments identify what you are viewing.
The fact people want to believe lights in the sky are Aliens, does not make it so. The conjecture and repeated '2nd hand' stories of these situations are always based on the viewer seeing something they themselves cannot identify and drawing a conclusion that it must be extra terrestrial.
What we skeptics love is the enthusiasm at which people will suspend logic/reason in order to claim something they at best cannot even give a clear picture of.
The vast majority of scientists, skeptics and normal ever day people all want the same thing, contact with aliens. We spend hundreds of millions of dollars on SETI, and we have millions of amateur astronomers of varying kinds all pointing at the sky looking for anything remotely resembling aliens.
We have NASA which spends BILLIONS looking for the faintest hint of life on mars and other planets, knowing full well what the discovery of life even at its most basic levels means to science and our own planet.
I am very confident there is life even in our solar system, basic yes, but its likely there... I am however tired of UFO sightings on earth, because of the lack of any kind of evidence.. The entire UFO industry is full of people making profit on everyones desire to believe.
Do people see things that are unexplainable to us visually, sure... Do we see things that others could explain but due to our own education we are baffled by..... sure..
The fact is, we have a vast number of people who are only going to rely on evidence to prove we are not alone, the vast majority of them see nothing to indicate we are being visited.
The simplest argument I have for the believers is this, IF we are being visited by intelligent life, why travel all this way to be sneaky and not just say hi.
There is life on other planets, we just are not being visited by them

chub: I believe you may have seen a UFO for sure, perhaps even one that has a good story behind it (space junk, experimental aircraft). But I also do not believe in aliens (or at least any visiting us).
For beings to be able to visit us they would have to have conquered time and space. The universe is just much too vast to send anything but probes, even at light speed.
If you are a race that has conquered time and space, you'd be able to see the beginnings and endings of time, perhaps even answer the questions 'where did we come from, why are we here, is there anything bigger than us (god)?'
If you could do these things, I seriously doubt there would be much to learn from a civilization such as ours. Heck, even if your motives were all good, it would probably be the equivalent of us trying to have a friendly conversation with an ant colony.

I saw a UFO when I lived in Calgary. I was taking a leak on some dude's house during one of our neighbourhood's hide and seek games. As I was finishing up, I looked up and this disc like object was hovering above, it stopped for about 15 seconds and left faster than anything I had ever seen. I lived near the airport but this thing was no airplane. I was 12 at the time, haven't seen anything like in in my 19 years since.

Maybe they're just abiding by the "Prime Directive" and observing us, because we are a 'pre-warp' civilization.

I live by the Airport(harvest hills) and over the weekend there was a lot of CF-18's taking off and landing, the fridden things shake my house their so loud.
I always wonder why people like yourself don't run and get the camera? Is it shock factor or are you just afraid to miss something?

UFO abducts 4 children and takes them on a 3 day tour of the galaxy
Newspaper reports of the amazing drama identified the children as 8-year-old Maria Molero, her sister Emma, 6, and brothers Jorge, 5 and Carlos, 3.
According to the children and a half dozen eye-witnesses, a 75-foot saucer-shaped craft swooped over the field they were playing in on August 9, 1992 and sucked them into the craft after hitting them with a burst of bright blue light.
"A great golden ship took us up in the sky and it was driven by God - I know it was God.
"He wore golden robes and had long silver hair and was siny all over," said Maria Molero, the oldest of the kidnapped kids. "He was a nice man and told us to call him Laiar. He showed us the moon and other places in the sky and said they were the stars."
The other children confirmed her account and said they were scared "for just a little while. He scraped our faces with a little stick and stuck us with a needle but he didn't hurt us at all," said Jorge Molero. "I liked the bedrooms because all the beds were soft and way up high," added Emma Molero.

"We were scared for only a little while"
