While i might have no problems picking a US selection over a Canadian thats for sure. But to make such a statement about my collection would be 100% incorrect that it's not even funny. I collect recordings from a couple artist I really enjoy and one of them reaches as high as over 240 bootlegs alone from one artist. No way my collection is 60-40 American

but now that is mentioned I'm curious, as it was nothing I ever looked into before. but no question the US would be second in kicking out the musicians I enjoy then most

Thats why I think something like this is a great idea, I'm more then interested in adding something new to my collection.

When it's your turn you have 24 hours to make a selection. After 24 hours the draft will continue and you make a selection when you get back. Your name will have brackets around it in the thread title.

All rules regarding trades and switching categories are the same as the Hottie Draft.

as such I think im going to pass on this one, but ill be interested to see what some people choose.
Always good to discover new music, and the crap they churn out on the radio is usually just more of the same old rehashed garbage

so that being said, Ill loiter in the thread from time to time, and by the end of it, assuming some stuff hasnt been posted I may just chime in with a couple of things as well

So we might all learn something new, try where possible when picking an artist to post one video, one or two album covers that best reflect their work, and maybe a short bio (allmusic.com is a good place for info).

I enjoy these threads, because I always get turned on to something new I have never heard before.

edited, answered my own question... now that bands have been eliminated then there's no chance of that happening

bands are eliminated? I thought that was what the regions and wildcard was for?

I'm definitely not one of those guys that has extensive musical tastes...I can already see that a lot of my choices are going to be looked at as too cliche.

Oh I'm not sure, I seen that Bands were taken out of an category and assumed it was and here's why... My question was about what would happen if, lets say, John Lennon was picked for Male Singer then would that mean that Beatles were no longer on the table for someone else's pick.

It would be hard to not have duplicates if bands were in the picture. Either way is great with me but it is a question that we're are going to run into really fast
