I'd say no to. I was on the crappy end of the exact same type of deal, and I ended losing a 20 year friend because of it as well.

Exactly. I dunno dude, I'd say stay away. My buddy dumped his gf years ago and she started callin me a month later, presumably to talk about him(so she said). For some reason I went along with it, but soon discovered she was goin for me. She was damn hot, and I was in a rut, so I thought about it(haha alot), but ultimately declinded. Fast forward to a year later, and they're dating again, and now another couple years later, he's thinking about proposing. Guaranteed she was just usin me, I'm SO glad I didn't do it, that would've been one less friend for sure. I say stay away, it ain't worth it. Even if he says its cool, I bet it really isn't.

Theres a reason why you never mow a brothers lawn, because A, you score with her, she lets it slip to your friend that your running around behind his back and then he kicks the ever loving crap out of you while she sits back and watches the show.

B) You score with her and dump her, she goes crying back to your buddy and tells him that you totally used her, he with a misguided sense of honor pulls your bottom lip over the back of your head and then nails it to your ass, while she sits back and chortles evilly.

Remember chicks are semi-evil, your best friends ex revenge guided evil.

Anyway, jokes aside, we're living vicariously through you, and I'd be pretty straight up with your friend and say, "I've never wanted to be with your gf, but now that the opportunity is presenting itself, I'm a guy and you'd understand if I wanna plow her. With your permission can I and would you be pissed?" Simple as that. Then buy him beers if the answer is an emphatic "YES!" and even more beers if it's a "No!"

If you are just looking for an extremely short-term relationship of three or four 30-90 minute exercise sessions with her, I'd say no. You are more or less saying to your friend: "Dude, you're an idiot to have ever had a relationship with this girl. She's only good for one thing."

I disagree with the guys that say to simply ask him. Even if he said "no, don't do it", and you didn't, your friend would still be left with a sour taste in his mouth. Think about it, you declined sex with his ex-gf out of sympathy for him. She wants it - You want it - But you 2 opt not to get freaky with each other for your buddy's sake. I know I'd be choked just thinking about that if I was your friend.

Don't talk to him about it, and don't let it go any further than it already has with this chick.

Just go rub one off...guys don't think rationally when they have a loaded gun. I just slapped a ham before reading this thread, so I am BY FAR the most rational thinking male here, take my advice.

I tried going with that solution once when my best friends fling that ended badly started hitting on me. I don't know for sure how, but i ended up in a foursome that night with two girls i had never met and a friend i will never look at the same way again.

Helped ease the pain of the flames being knocked out of the playoffs though...

Good things can come from this plan of attack and has my approval as the way to go forward.

ps. never tell us about you getting intimate with yourself, it is a little more than a tad disturbing.

There's nothing worse than a woman on the rebound. She's broken up with her boyfriend and is looking for the first guy that comes along. She'll only use and abuse you and then hang you out to dry once she's feeling better about herself. Been through this type of crap once too often.

Lots of fish in the sea so i'd move on and avoid the grief and potential loss of a good friend.

I don't get 'the code'. There are exceptions to every rule. Firstly, unless I'm still harbouring something for my ex, he's fair game. I'd even go out of my way to set him up with my friends if I thought they'd be good together. Just because your friend's ex is hot, that shouldn't mean he's the only one that gets to plow her. It could be you'd be better suited.

Now, all that said, based the OP's info in the thread, it would just be sex to him... Is that what she wants? You said she's clingy... if she wants more, then having sex is definitely a bad idea.
