73/250... higher than I expected. Although there were a lot of movies on there that I never would have considered top 250 of all time.

Hot Fuzz.. really?

122 for me. I basically just skipped over all the ones that didn't have an English title. I'm not much for reading subtitles (I can't read) and "classic" European movies always just seemed depressing to me. Even the frequent nudity doesn't help, which is surprising.

I did see a movie called "City of God" a few years back and it had subtitles and should have been on that list over several films, but I'm sure we all have our "this movie is better than number XXX on that list" gripes.

Where's Gremlins, Batteries Not Included, Flight of the Navigator, and E.T. on there?

48. I've seen 7 of the top 8, then it starts to fall off considerably.

Hot Fuzz? What, Who's Your Caddy didn't want any of that?

I wouldn't know. And you failed to put that little shot in green type.

118.

I think that they should have provided alternate titles for some of the movies. Wasn't "Leon" released as "The Professional" in NA?

My 1.5-to-2.5-hours-of-my-life-I-will-never-get-back sub-list:

Big Lebowski
Forest Gump
Nosferatu
Groundhog Day

Wow, I consider myself no movie buff at all, but I've seen 115 of those, which puts me above most posters in this thread.

Really?!?!
I can watch that movie again and again without ever feeling like stepping in front of a truck, throwing myself off a building or smashing my alarm clock.
It's such a fantastic movie!

I got 88 out of 250, although there are a few in different languages that I KNOW I've seen before, as well as a bunch of films during my university film classes that I know I've missed too.

Wow, Iron Man was up there - crazy...

I've seen 71 of those movies. More than a few were older movies like Ben Hur and The Great Escape.

The trend I've noticed in this list is that (the ones I've seen) are either very popular classics, or else very unique.

I was surprised that Matrix was on there until I thought about it's uniqueness with the bullet time thing. Kill Bill with it's jumping around massacres. And Groundhog Day. Pretty unique storyline back up by pure hilarity. Definitely deserves to be on that list. I actually go out of my way to catch that flick every Feb. 2nd. Love that movie... "I'll have a burger, fries and a shake...".

Phil: For your information, hair-do, I have a major network interested in me.
Larry: Yeah, that'd be the Home Shopping Network.
Phil: Thanks, Larry. Go wait in the van, will you?

Love that flick.

I'm like many on here that wish a picture or something was beside each to refresh the memory. Like all lists though, this one is extremely biased.
