I'd feel sorry for you but I'm too busy laughing for it to be sincere. Consider yourself christened I guess. Don't worry, it happens to everyone who's ever changed a diaper.
Yeah, my mom just about killed herself laughing at me. As did my brother and my sister in law. They said that I couldn't complain until I had been peed or pooped on though.

I did indeed. I remember how much I loved dancing to that when I was little. It was a smashing party. He eventually got naked, as he is very proud of the wee wee. I am sure he'll grow out of that though, I don't know any guys that are like that...

Be thankful you didn't get into the doodlebops. Those people are just creepy.
Youtube was a godsend last night. We watched Backyardigans and some weird french cartoons where these dinosaurs were having farting contests. He LOVED it.
And, there are some really warped cartoons on tv for the kiddies. We watched one this morning that was a bunch of barn yard animals that hated their owners so much, they threw a party when they found out they had been in a car accident. Very twisted stuff. Then there was Teepo and Beeno, I think that is what it was called, has these weird androgynous dancers on it. Ugh.
I also think they put a lot of weird innuendo into cartoons for the poor parents that have to watch a lot of it.
Anyways, having a little trouble keeping them down for their naps today though. This post has been interrupted several times.
I hope then that I never have to watch 4 Square. I have watched more than enough kiddie shows already. I don't know how parents do it, I guess you gotta tune that stuff out.
^^ Those are the weird androgynous dancers I was referring too, I thought they were part of the Toopy and Beeno show though...
Why does she say UP? So creepy.
I knew what the video would be and yet I pressed play anyways...
That's Four Squares...my wife and I call them the Communists, which makes it all the more creepy.
Max and Ruby is my most despised cartoon. I think the way Max gets treated on it is awful.
Toopy and Binoo is actually a French (Quebec) cartoon translated for us, so that's why it doesn't make much sense. It's seriously messed up though, regardless. It borders on acid trippy, especially episodes like the one where the cat becomes huge, and runs around eating things like trees and mountains.

I wonder how these people rationalize their work to themselves and their friends?
I mean, do they consider themselves actual actors or are they realistic enough to admit that its either this or a cardboard box and a fairly significant meth problem?
When a stranger asks them what they do for a living, how do they answer that?
I bet part of the remuneration package for that job has to include a company supplied therapist.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Well, I think working in Children's entertainment has its own rewards. The Wiggles, for instance, make more money than most rock bands. Seriously--the dough those guys are rolling in more than makes up for any feelings of lost dignity, I'd imagine.

I'd say there is a fairly large difference between the Wiggles and the freaks in "Four Square".
Children's programming is definately on the edge of wacky, and some shows well beyond wacky.
What I want to know is where are Max and Ruby's parents? Who in good conscience would leave Ruby alone to care for Max? It's a wonder a wolf hasn't come along and cleaned out the whole damn town.

This has always bugged me about the show. Max, the borderline autistic bunny, shunned by his sister for the most part, and raised by parents who buy him millions of toys to compensate for their lack of attention.
You mean Molly from Big Comfy Couch doesn't actually secretly want to get with me? I'm crushed...
She's hot (even without the clown suit)
She might, I don't know.
But they are sick, these shows. We were watching some weird cartoon today and the little puppet kept talking about how he liked to eat bearded clams, they were the best kind, he could just eat them all day. And the cow talked about how good it felt to be milked... or maybe I am just a sick, sick individual... I think it's them.

Seriously? I find that hard to believe, but it sounds funnier than most shows on primetime.
I think some cartoons add the sexual innuendo in on purpose. They know there are parents watching and it'll get their attention, but at the same time the kids have absolutely no idea they just missed a joke, it's pretty harmless.
I had a pretty good laugh about the puppet who likes to eat bearded clams
