Why I find so awesome is that instead of admitting that he basically said that someone's job wasn't real work (note: no quotations), instead of apologizing for the slip or for being a jerk, he threatens with legal action. I can't help but think this is all tongue-in-cheek

Here's a good summary of defamation.
BTW this thread is like a microcosm of my work environment.

After all, the damage to the Jammies brand would be astronomical. Astronomical!

See, this is kinda interesting. Even assuming one could sue for defamation for writing what Fotze wrote, I wonder if the fact Johnny99's using an anonymous internet alias would defeat any claim. As it stands though, that's not libel, and even if it met the definition, it would definitely be fair comment.
On topic: I would describe my work environment as extremely hectic, fast paced, and with a lot of very nice, fun, but very stressed out people.

My work environment is pretty good, laid back. Winters are spent in-office, doing paperwork, attending meetings, and trade shows. Spring and summer are busy with many hours of windshield time. I cover a territory from Calgary east to the Brooks/Jenner/Med Hat area, north toward Olds, and south to about Vulcan. Lots of time in the spring/summer/fall walking fields with farmers and supervising chemical applications. Also lots of customer golf tournaments and crop tours.
I spend a lot of time on the phone with colleagues while we are all on the road - very fun! Casual dress - jeans and a golf shirt in the field, khaki's and company apparel for crop tours and golf tournaments, office-casual at head office.
The down-side is having the cell phone on at 5:30 am and answering calls from my hutterite customers, who are up and at it early. And not being able to turn the phone off until late, late at night. I'm married to that phone during the spring and summer!

And besides, how would they find out who fotze is in real life?
CP doesn't have to give up his IP address, right?

Yeah but it's common knowledge that fotze = Eric Francis.

I am a she, not he . And I think it is sort of split down the middle whether or not people consider what I do to be 'real' work or not real work. It is a job, a job in which I don't sit down at all, but while I am standing I am not doing any heavy labour.

Definitely, the job requires a LOT of patience, and because I see the same bunch of kids regularly you get constantly tested and provoked into losing it. I like older kids, but then again with them you get into the 'attitudes' that young ones don't necessarily have yet. But the young ones require constant supervision, reminders, and attention which yes is demanding and requires more patience than I sometimes have.

I didn't know that
I have a great job. I clean houses for a living. I make my own hours, I'm home before my kid, I don't have to talk to anyone all day, and I make in 4 hours what I made in 10 at my old job.

Since my wife has gone back to work, I take care of our offspring every other weekend. Just me and the kid. I love her to bits, but man oh man. My hat goes off to you and everyone else that can do it on a regular basis.

My work environment is pretty good. I have a white collar job. But get to dress casual. When the weather is nice I go outside. When it is cold I go inside. I come and go as I please. Sure there are times when I am busy and need to get things done. But for the most part it is very laid back.
