Now if you really want a twist on this, throw in some roughly chopped onion, celery and carrot, some peppercorns, a bay leaf and salt.
Do not throw out the liquid. Strain it and you have a very nice chicken broth. Use the chicken in sandwiches as you presently are doing or however.

haha, yeah, i didn't go into too much detail. Normally i do add onion and celery, use pepper and some salt, and have a few thick pieces of crispy lettuce on the thick bread.
Never thought of carrot though? And bay leaf? Maybe i will try that...

Sure, just don't use those laurel bay leaves, they have a very strong pungent taste. Use the cheap old fashioned bay leaves. Carrot is very nice, u can eat the carrot after too. If you really want to get sophisticated for the broth, add a small parsnip, a few sprigs of parsley and some celery leaves. And use peppercorns, not pepper, keeps your broth clear.
Strain the broth and use for soup bases or cook rice, quinoa, couscous etc in it.

Why is it bad to defrost things in warm water?
If Im in a rush, Ill throw the ziplock bag of frozen meat in the sink, and fill it up with hot water. Usually thawed in 20 minutes..

You might as well defrost it in your toilet! Well, that's a bit of a stretch but it really is a perfect growing situation for bacteria in warm water. With cool water, that's less of a problem!

best thing to cook on the foreman....frozen perogies. Just throw them right on the grill. they come out nice and crispy, yet not greasy.

I don't know why I found this so funny, but I forgot to take the chicken out to de-thaw this morning so I googled; "cooking chicken breast from frozen", and the 2nd thing to pop up in the Google search was this thread.
I wonder how many random people from who knows where, have googled this same thing and used CP as a source of knowledge...

I never defrost meat in a microwave, it partially cooks it and toughens it up like a mofo, always have a handy instant read thermometer and make sure you cook it through to 160, as long as you do that you can use it as a practise puck at the rink before hand for all it matters.

No word of a lie. This thread made me go buy groceries. Seriously.
Chicken is freezing now. Check.
Stole the grill from work. Check.
CP coming through once again?
Priceless.

I thought someone said CP comes up for CPers is because the spider trackers from google knows you frequent this site and essentially customizes the results. I could be wrong.
Google that from a public computer and you won't get CP popping up so frequently.
