I had the ultimate dream opportunity in 2003 to work with the Flames and help out with marketing / Flames foundation etc. The only problem was it was a pilot project, only part time work and it was to fill a maternity leave, there was a small possibly to have further employment with them but doubtful...I lost sleep over this for days, but having a pregnant wife at the time and making less money than what I was at my other job I just couldn't. Being a life long Flames fan I wanted to just to see where it would take me....and have an email address that ended in @calgaryflames.com. Damn good thing I didn't cause the lockout hit soon after and this project downsized and got mixed with the Hitmen / Flames. Even though the lady never returned the position after mat leave, the position ultimately was demolished.
