george carlin
denis leary the top two for meafter that its a little hard to say

russell peters is good, ron josel is alright as well, dave chapelle is always good
and one last one, even though not actually a comedian, Henry Rollins spoken word stuff is gold

forgot to mention Ron James, another great comedian who on more than one occasion on the same night has made me laugh so hard I cried.

Norm Macdonald is the guy that can make me laugh so hard that it hurts. The first time I saw him on TV doing a set, his delivery was so strange but I was in tears for the full thing.

Mitch Hedberg and Bill Cosby are two others but for me it's all about Norm.

First off just let me say I am VERY impressed that not a single person included Dane Cook in their top 3...

Don't really have a top 3 or anything but there's a few comedians I really enjoy:

Bill Cosby- awesome how he can make you laugh until your sides hurt without uttering so much as a single swear

Norm MacDonald- so before his time, I dont think he was ever truly appreciated in the 90's as he should have been. So strange its hilarious

Eddy Izzard- very smart, witty comedy, and as a history nerd I love all the references to historical events

Louis CK- lesser known comedian who I discovered on Sirius Raw Dog Comedy last year, but pure gold. It's been widely rumoured in the stand-up industry that Dane Cook has stolen some of his jokes
