Delegate update folks!

Clinton 1108, Obama 1049.

Gained a couple on Clinton overnight, puts him 59 delegates behind at the moment. In terms of pledged delegates, Obama is winning 918 to 885, 33 delegates ahead of Clinton.

That said, delegates are still being counted including quite a few from Washington last night, a state that Obama very nearly completely swept and thus should get almost every delegate from.

By my calculations, there are 157 delegates missing from the CNN delegate count that are still being counted.

Hillary Clinton has changed campaign managers today... I think she may be worried about what will happen if Obama sweeps Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday.

well the basic belief is that if Clinton wins the nomination the Republican party has a better chance at the Presidency as she is seen as a divisive character. She is controverisal in the fact that she originally supported Bush in the war, and many of her arguments could easily be undermined by her past actions. Obama is seen more so as a unifier with may Republicans and Independents liking him, 75% of Clinton supporters say they would still be happy if Obama won the nomination. Therefore he is more of a threat to beat McCain.

Obama has been steadily gaining on Clinton over the past couple months. He's coming on strong when it counts. He's got great fundraising and organizational capacity and an amazing campaign slogan. He's going to take down Hilary and he's going to have a great shot at the White House.

Watching this American election is, for me, a lot like watching a sporting event. I have a vested interest in who wins, I care deeply, but there's absolutely bupkis I can do about it, except cheer from the sidelines.

The most amazing thing about Obama is that my dad wants him to win the presidency. And my dad is a fox-news-watching, Bush-supporting (though that's waning the last couple years), church-going, god-fearing, hardcore businessman.
I never thought I'd hear the day that he'd speak kindly about a liberal. But he likes Obama. Prefers him to McCain.
According to him, Obama hasn't been "polluted" by politics yet and it'd be nice to have someone who actually takes the job because they want to do something instead of merely have the power to do whatever they want. (paraphrased)

The real question is how could you ever vote for a campaign that fires their manager during the heat of battle.

It's like Keenan pulling Kipper during game 7 of the finals because the other team tied it up. Talk about no confidence.

She was. What Obama has accomplished is really quite amazing. I went to see him in Seattle a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, we couldnt get into the building, because too many of his supporters had shown up. I'm not a huge Obama fan, but I went mostly for the circus. Seattle is a pretty toned down city, but Obama came out and said a few words to us and people were eating it up.

I'm pretty sure that her campaign manager was working without pay for the past while.....so maybe he said pay more or I leave.

So she fired him instead.

She fired her campaign manager supposedly because she believed her manager was doing a bad job.

Sorry... reassigned her to "Senior Adviser" and made someone else campaign manager.
