Money money money...MONAY!
I'd want to be rich. You could do so much more with wealth rather than fame not only for yourself but for others. Fame...I dunno if it's all that it's cracked up to be. I kinda like to be able to take a crap and not be photographed while doing it, but hey that's just me.

Clearly famous. You'd leave your mark on a great collective human history and you would get the ladies. It's all about the ladies.Man really doesn't need anything moore than Fridge with some food in it, a warm room and a bed. And some ladies. Ladies! where are you, I can't find you.
EDIT: And some booze on friday night. Make that a lot of booze. Happy afternoon at work for you.

I'd go with famous, with a caveat: being generally famous isn't interesting to me, but being critically respected, known for your work, having your work endure and become part of the human record, for me that's much more interesting than money. It's sort of what Kipru was alluding to, being part of collective human history.

Money get away
Get a good job with more pay and you're o.k.
Money it's a gas
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash
New car, caviar, four star daydream
Think I'll buy me a football team
Money get back
I'm all right jack keep your hands off of my stack
Money it's a hit
But don't give me that do goody good bull
I'm in the hi-fidelity first class traveling set
And I think I need a Lear jet
Money it's a crime
Share it fairly but don't take a slice of my pie
Money so they say
Is the root of all evil today
But if you ask for a rise it's no surprise that they're giving none away

Ya it would depend what I was famous for. If it was because I did something amazing to really help humankind, then thats awesome. For eg, find a cure for Parkinson's. You would be well-respected, and would have done something great for people(although in that case I'd still rather be more contented with the fact that I had really helped out the human race, rather than being happy that everyone knows who I am. There's something quite narcassastic in that). I just thought the question was that we're the exact same as we are now, just everyone knows who we are. In which case I wouldnt give two craps about being famous.
For the record I'm not really that money-hungry either(I wouldnt be in the Education program right now if that were the case). I just think its the better option.

I have changed my mind. Please let me b just free from hangover tomorrow. I don't care about anything anymore. OK, thete may just be the guy that cures the cancer one day olnine, but I say just leave it be. You get your 70-80 years of life and just make the best of it. If you would not be in the final frontier that would stop the Russian assault then nobody would care. So what I to all of you Finnish eople, please don't think if your rich or famous, your grandfathers did all the work. Theyb will be famous and they are now already.
Sorry for you Canadian people, I get all emotional when I am drunk. It is just that those guys saved us from oblivion. Nothing to do with this thead. I would still go for the fame.
Our heroes are still with us today.
Eipä kotikorvet ei lämpöinen lies
Meitä saata viihdyttää
Jos soi sotatorvet, niin pioneerit ties
Musta lippu yhdistäää
taistelun pauhu, ryske ja sauhu
lämpöinen lietemme on
Eipä voita kauhu jos käymme taistohon
sen me viemme voittohon
(March of the Fnnish engineer corps)

|
Not sure if someone else might already have addressed this (and if so, sorry!), but I believe the reason he 'craves fame' is because it reinforces his brand. Trump is not a name any more. It is a brand. The more pervasive he can make it, the richer he will get. This concept is quite prominent especially in this season of his show - what with all the celebrities partaking. Why did Trump not want to fire Gene Simmons? Because of all the ######s on that show, Gene has the most recognizable brand. Sells the show better (and, I would submit, also made it more entertaining - by a mile), and by extension, the Trump brand.
He creeps me out, but you gotta give it to Donald Trump. He'll do anything to grow that bottom line.

This one is so easy I can barely believe it is a question.
I'd take rich every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Some may say that ladies are into fame but so what? I'm not into the notion some chick saw me on tv and now she wants me to further her career because I'm famous.
I'd take rich because "chicks dig dudes with money. The kind that would double up on a dude like me are." (paraphrased)
Remember, you don't pay 'em to stay you pay 'em to go away.
