For the morning that's the forecast. High of -18 and low of -24 on the day so it's hopefully won't be quite that bad.

-BUMP-

Just to let everyone know that is planning on coming that we are still on. I talked to the rink attendant an hour ago and he said that the shack is a balmy 19 degree's (it has it's own heating system) and he will be heading over there tomorrow morning to check on it for us. He will also be attending to the ice first thing in the morning too so we won't be shoveling anything. The propane heater will just sit on the bench to warm us up. He also said that the rink itself is pretty good at keeping the wind out.

So if you're wondering, we're still on but if you don't see yourself being able to make it please respond here so I know how many to expect.

Thanks and see you tomorrow.

Yikes chilly tomorrow especially for a goalie standing there for 2 hours.

I don't blame ya. It's going to be a little rough. I was hoping the guy would just let us reschedule but aparently the weather stipulation on their website only applies to chinooks that might damage the ice and not sub-freezing temperatures.

On the plus side I heard the high today has been upgraded to -16.

Guys, I must apologize, but I will not be able to make it out today. Much to hungover after my gig last night. I am looking around and all my buds are still out cold since we came back and partied till 6.
Rhettsky, let me know how it went and how much I owe you for my share of the rent. So sorry man. Send me a message when you guys are done, and lets get some beers at the game tonight.
I'm going back to bed.

I'm in for sure. Thanks to everyone that braved the cold to show up for this and also for chipping in a bit extra. We only had seven guys show up but everyone offered to kick in so I didn't end up having to eat any extra costs. That was awesome, thanks guys! Also, nice meeting you all.

The game was really fun and the ice was okay, heated change rooms saved the day for sure and the bench heater worked for an hour or so but helped for that hour. I say we do another one in a couple weeks if we get enough interest. Does Saturday work again for everyone?

Foo: Don't worry about it, just show up next time and bring some beer!

initially it was pretty cold when you got there and were just standing around, but once you got moving it was good and things warmed up in the afternoon...or atleast felt that way
as for another one, in theory i no longer have to work another saturday again...hopefully forever, so I should be good for round 2

I am in any weekend other than 22-24, and probably the same friends so long as it's -15 or warmer
