If u're a poker fan, the casino at Lac Lemay in Hull now has the electronic poker tables. There's a lot of hype right now so you would probably have to wait 2 hours minimum to get in a game.

MacLaren and Elgin Street? Or Clarence Street (just off Dalhousie)?

I'd pick Clarence, although MacLaren and Elgin isn't that bad. You're right in the heart of the Byward Market, closer to the Transitway, the Rideau Centre, etc.

Elgin Street is a strip of clubs for those who have completed school. The Byward Market is a more eclectic mix of businesses and is busy most of the day instead of just at night.
