I saw the Stones play a few years ago here in NB in front of 90,000 people...but I would rather put on a Beatles album as apposed to a Stones album although I would rather hear some Beach Boys then either of them.

I am a season's subscriber to the CPO. Every year, the Jeans & Classics series has tributes to 2 groups from the past. Last year, it was the Stones and the Beatles.

After that evening, not a doubt in my mind, it is the Beatles over the Stones and it is not much of a contest. The Stones have the edge as far as animal magnetism and sex appeal on the stage goes but as far as song writing and being in tune with the times and influencing their time and future time, the Stones can't touch the Beatles.

I caught this tour in Edmonton in the fall of '94. Great show. I feel that I've grown up with the Stones. Shattered, Satisfaction, Start Me Up, even Beast of Burden are all anthems of my youth.

That being said, the Beatles.............who can deny their impact on pop culture? They weren't putting out tunes as I was growing up, but Revolution, Helter Skelter, Get Back etc are all songs I crank when I hear them.

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath!!!

Um...err-I don't really have a preference either way. But here are my favourite songs by both bands.

Stones:
Gimme Shelter
Paint it Black
Under my Thumb

Beatles:
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Helter Skelter
Come Together
