Time to have a few pieces of dark chocolate and then back to sleep. I have a long day ahead of me with a lot of work and cleaning to do. Not going to be the most relaxing Christmas.
Not that I know of, the only way I could think of doing it was SSHing into the server and checking the time, but that would have been cheating

As it is the server syncs automatically with an atomic clock, so your method was the best anyway (I did something similar, I just synced my PC with an atomic clock a few minutes ago).

NERDS!

Is it bad, that when I woke up at 8:07 AM according to my clock radio, I sprung out of bed with my heart racing because I wanted to see if I could get the Supernerd Award? LOL. Congrats to H&L! Merry Christmas Calgarians!

It's not as bad as having a dream last night about being a supernerd and then becoming one just to prove that on Christmas, dreams do come true.

Was up pretty early with the new baby. She got pretty wild so I had to put her in her cage.

Beautiful pup, Barnes.

Love the baby Rotty

Ours (she is 7) was the second up this morning, which is very unusual because she usually rises about 2 pm. Had a few breathe mint bones from her stocking and went back to bed

Congratulations to Hack&Lube, winner for 2007! Your synchronisation with an atomic clock sets a new standard of nerdiness.

Honourable mention goes to Maritime Q-Scout, who posted in the wrong thread, but nevertheless posted at 8am in his time zone and then again in ours.

Your prize is that you get to play Final Fantasy with Couch Potter.

Since a bunch posted at 8 am the title should be...."one of the nerds"

I loved the sincerity behind that question. You truly wanted to be the best nerd and would go to great lengths of nerdiness to make it happen.

Sir, you come by your title honestly.

I wish dogs and cats would never grow up...I would be fine never growing up either but it's much too late for that.

If you need your Rotty to learn to be lazy count me in. I remember the first time we took her up Nose Hill, half way up we had to stop and ended up carrying her the rest of the way (she was 3 months old) Nothing has changed (except we can't carry her anymore)
I wouldn't change her one bit, best dog ever. She will protect my kids no matter what, grandma was giving the 5 year old heck once, steps in between them and that was the end of it (just stood there)

While I'm certain Grandma was well within her rights and correct in giving her grandchild heck . . . mind you, you just have to love, respect, loyalty, and knowledge of the dog.

It's my second Christmas without my puppy, but it was nice spending time with my grandmother who is suffering from dementia reminiscing about our golden.

I am sure we don't have many Christmas' left with Macy. It will be hard when she goes but there is nothing we can do about it. Nana might have been right but no one except me and the wife are allowed to give the kids heck according to the dog. She didn't do anything mean, just stood there and that was the end of it.
