The thing about Dave is he seems so grounded. He just plain loves to play Rock and Roll, and every interview he does he seems so un-pretentious.

I have all their CDs ripped here on my work computer (except the newest - it is still in the CD player in my truck.)

Exactly why I said Dave Grohl is my Supreme Overlord.

But if I were to suggest going to a Foo Fighters Concert, I don't think it would surprise anyone.

I do suggest it though. And learn the songs. Most people who go know the songs, and sing along. You don't wanna miss out on that.

I saw them back in 2000 at what I believe was summersault. If I recall correctly the lineup up was ridiculous:

sum41
the catherine wheel
finger eleven
treble charger
a perfect circle
foo fighters
our lady peace
smashing pumpkins (their "final" tour)

The only bad part was having to drive up to the chuck to see it all.

I saw the foo the last time they rolled through town. Right before the acoustic version of "everlong" I got . . . umm . . . "un-sober" and it was just about the coolest musical experience of my life. Dave Grohl + acoustic everlong + green lasers = damn good time

Too bad they aren't coming through calgary. I'm sure just a scheduling conflict.

Today, I did one of the dumbest thing of my life so far - came home early from surfing, went online to purchase Foo Fighters tickets for the concert at the Forum and scored 2 floor seats in the mosh pit. Thought to myself - I'm to old for the mosh pit, let me look for something a little further away. Click the back button twice and the best available was the upper level!!! If it was possible for me to kick myself in the nuts - I would have - repeatedly. I am going to be kicking myself for years over the stupid decision. At least I turned my attention to Steve Earle at UCLA and scored some great seats. I am the king of the Losers - bow before me

Worst part about it....Foo Fighters don't have mosh pits. Everyone kinda stands around and cheers.

Great band live, Grohl gets it and puts on a killer show. Seen them five times throughout the years, first time was a radio industry gig in Vancouver with Radiohead at some club(the rage?) at the plaza of nations, yes it was cool.
