George Michael: Oh. Does that mean she's going to have to come live with us?
Michael: No, no. No. It was her drink, and even if it wasn’t...
(When Tobias later slips on it, that is quite possibly the best prat fall I've ever seen. His leg just goes straight up in the air and stays there.)
My favourite Lucille moment is when she drives into the post in the underground parking lot.
Narrator: Lucille was suffering from a hangover-related headache and sought her medication. That's when she mistook the red eye alcohol warning for a winking-eye alcohol suggestion. But she had the good sense not to drive herself to the meeting.
Lucille: I'll call for a car.
Narrator: [shows the car on fire] Unfortunately, this was after a failed attempt to do so.
Lucille: [walks into post in parking lot] Well, who put that--"
She just kinda trails off, she was a great character. And Jessica Walter played it so perfectly. The show was brilliantly cast.

Ha - Was it on today? I didn't watch it. That just happens to be my favourite Lucille moment. I watch CBC for hockey and occasionally the news. Nothing more.

When I was travelling over the summer, I met quite a few Americans who were extremely jealous that we've still got Arrested Development on TV, in prime time no less.
I think its fitting that a 'smart' sitcom thrives in Canada after being driven off the air in the US. It only got as many seasons as it did because FOX rarely produces emmy award winning sitcoms.

I can't believe it took 3 pages for the never-nude to come up! That is easily one of the most hilarious parts of the show!

Does that mean we are going to start seeing Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip on TV here soon too?

[Narrator]:Tobias was a nevernude, which is exactly what it sounds like.
[Micheal]:Mom, you've already got two strikes on your record. You strike one more person and it's technically a spree.
Lucille: Get me a vodka rocks.
Michael: Mom, it's breakfast.
Lucille: And a piece of toast.
Gob: You drive a hard bargain, but I'm the President of the Bluth company, and I decline.
[ turns to Sitwell]
Gob: You look surprised.
Stan Sitwell: [ adjusts his eyebrows] Must've put 'em on wrong

Yup, that was awesome. One of my favourites too. Will Arnett's face is hilarious as he yells out Bee's and Bead's.

I freaking love that fall.. followed by the "Was your mother here?"
That was one of the best episodes.

"Say goodbye to...these!"
----------
After Buster loses his hand, Michael tells George Michael to go visit Buster. Buster asks GM if he'd like a can of soup...
GM: "Can it open a can?"
Buster: "Can what open a can?"
Both: "Oh God!"
Their double uncomfortable reaction is hilarious.
----------
"STEVE HOLT!"

"I'm Oscar. Dot com."

I laughed very hard during the episode where somebody needs to sneak into the "blind" lawyers house (Julia Louise Dreyfuss).
The exchage was something like this:
Micheal: Somebody needs to get into that house and find out for sure. Somebody that has very stealthy skills...
Tobias (jumping on Micheal Back and whispering in his ear): You mean like a cat?
HAHAHA - I die everytime I see it!

George Michael: She's not my girlfriend. And she's not bland.
Maeby: Really? Because, I mean, under her school picture, it said, "Not pictured."
George Michael: Okay, they printed a retraction in the spring supplement. And yeah, she was really looking forward to seeing me in my Uncle Sam outfit in the get-out-to-vote assembly tomorrow. Maeby: Wasn't that supposed to be before the election?
George Michael: Yeah, they had to postpone it when that foreign exchange student parked too close to the gym.
****
Buster: My army training is telling me that this is a hot mission.
Michael: Hot mission! We're on a hot mission!
Buster: Maybe we should call it "Operation: Hot Mother."
Michael: No, no, let's try to top that.
Narrator: They never did, and later, Operation: Hot Mother was under way.
***
Buster: [holding up his Motherboy trophy] And I finally feel good about myself. "Saddest".
Michael: And I saw those people, that was a very competitive category.

The cabin episode was on last night. One of the greatest bits of silent pause ever used...ever!
Michael: It is going to up in Tahoe a couple more days. Maybe you could take a date.
Lucille: How am I supposed to find someone willing to go into that musty old claptrap?
(5 seconds of Jason Bateman acting the hell out of nothing)
Michael: The cabin... yes! That would be difficult, too.
Kills me every time I see it, then as Lucille leaves the house Gob is standing behind the door for some unknown reason. "I didn't even know we had a cabin."
Pure gold.

I think the problem with Studio 60 was that it and 30 Rock was so similar that you could just tell NBC was gonna drop one of em. Unfortunately, it happened to be Studio 60. Both are quality shows.

the only thing they had in common was the SNL thing. IMO completley different ends of the comedy spectrum

The humour of both shows is/was quite different. However, the premises of both shows were exactly alike, behind the scenes of a late night comedy sketch show.
I liked Studio 60, but my problem with the show was that it never quite lived up to the opening monologue from Judd Hirsh, about what is wrong with television. It was really quite brilliant and well done. After that, the show was okay, but as I said, for me it never held a candle to the opening 10mins of the pilot.
And so that we are on topic...
Another of my favourite AD moments... when you see Lindsay doing the Kegel exercise tape and Michael says, "You finally found an exercise tape for people as lazy as you." ... then later you see Tobias doing the same tape. Love it.
