Thanks guys. Yeah, my wife has stopped the prenatal vitamin because the iron was making her sick, so she's just taking folic acid and B6 supplements. The pill with the pregnant lady on them is the diclectin which has been a bust for us.

BTW: we just got back from an ultrasound, and we're having a baby boy! A future Flames fan in the making!

Congrats on the boy, we know that's what you were secretly hoping for.
Thanks fotze. I've already picked out everything at the FanAttic for him. He's going to be the best dressed little Flames fan around

At the risk of stating the obvious, girls can be Flames fans too. My daughter is only 9 months old and she already likes Robyn Regehr.

Oh, for sure. It didn't matter if we were having a boy or girl, this kid would be a Flames fan no matter what

Did you get a replica soother or the authentic one? If I recall correctly, the authentic ones are the same equipment used by such NHL greats as Dwayne Roloson.

My wife, too, found that her morning sickness came most strongly when she had gone a really long time between eating. Perhaps try suggesting to your wife that she has a literal midnight snack in order to shorten the time between meals ...

My daughter is not quite 6 months old, but it's a little hard for her to be a true Flames fan, since she goes to bed at 6:30 and the games don't come on until 9:00 or 10:00 out here on the East Coast.

But she's a Flames fan with the gear to prove it, including a T-shirt that says "I watch hockey with my Daddy." My real worry is that when she's old enough to stay up until the end of the East Coast games, she may become a Leafs fan. So I'm pushing for her to become an Ottawa fan. Then we could fight over it, but I wouldn't have to disown her or anything.

During her pregnancy my wife had no morning sickness until about month 4 and then she had it right up to when she got induced post-due date. Worst thing for her was brushing her teeth. Pretty much puked each time she did so and then at other times. Diclectin worked for her so that she only puked when she was brushing her teeth. Don't really know anything else that might help other than what people have already suggested....go to many smaller meals throughout the day so that the stomach is always a little full but never stuffed. As mentioned above her doctor told her to have a something to eat in the middle of the night and that did seem to help.

My wife swore by one other thing, but based on the severity of the morning sickness in this case I'll go out on a limb and guess she probably isn't in the mood.

Above all if you are not finding any satisfaction with the current doctor do not hesitate to change doctors! It will help immensely during delivery if you trust the doctor and his/her judgement completely.

edit: I removed the last part as I didn't see the trips to the ER. I'll leave the joke off.

Sounds like your wife's having a really tough time Marv, and I'm sure you're suffering along with her. We were lucky, as my wife's sickness ended after the 1st trimester. What worked for her was many small meals (as others have mentioned). She would always get sick when she was hungry. Also, Preggy Pops, they're little candies that are available at maternity stores (not sure what's in them, but they helped). Doesn't sound like many of these things will work as her sickness is quite severe, but good luck to you guys.

Thanks guys. We 're actually just trying some vitamin B6 supplements which supposedly help motabolize carbs, fats, and proteins, and she seems to be feeling better so we'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for all the advice, you guys are awesome.
