They gave it a great lead-in: Hero's. And Journeyman couldn't hold that audience despite the fact one would think they are good fits.

Bottom line when people don't watch - shows get cancelled.

Blame the people for not watching.

I actually have no problem with shows getting cancelled. I mean journeyman doesn't deliver, it sucks, but it's true.....and give NBC credit. They stuck with the office (which still doesn't get GREAT ratings) they stuck with Friday Night Lights (which is fantastic) and they've stuck with 30 Rock.

NBC is probably the most patient.....

I wish networks would committ 13 episodes to any of these types of "serial" type shows...then around the 10 episode mark, make the decision, this way if the show gets cancelled, they can at least give the fans some sort of closure.

Like I said, I think journeyman was given a "decent" finale, we got a few answers, enough that I'm satisfied with the conclusion if it never returns.

That's happening more and more now, particularly with NBC - and even if they don't decide to broadcast the final episodes the use the web to do so. Last year Kidnapped was a great NBC show that had horrible ratings - NBC canned it after about 6 episodes but allowed the producers to finish it off and then broadcast another 5 I think on nbc.com. It was a serial show with one over-arching storyline - so they rewarded fans by concluding it via the web. Pretty cool.

Fox of course didn't do that with shows like Drive and Daybreak.

Day Break was on ABC, and they actually did put the unaired episodes online.

I didn't ever watch the unaired episodes (I think they were blocked in Canada), but from what I've heard, they resolved a bit of the storyline, but some major things were left open.

My wife is really liking it, but I haven't been able to get into it. I didn't see the first few episodes so that is probably why.
