Well, my highest is 24, so I'm not sure if I should be telling you my strategies or the other way around, still...
What I try to do is stay away from the centre of the screen at all costs - I don't worry too much about scoring, but rather avoiding being knocked out and letting the scoring take care of itself. I try to create "lanes" where I can shoot into an area where I'll not only be certain of getting some bounces and possible scores, but also where it is almost impossible for the ball to escape. The best way to create those is to play your ball off of the side walls at an angle where it ends up stopping in the top 1/4 of the screen, then working more balls into its area by slightly varying your angle of delivery.
If I make a mistake and put a large circle into play, I will try to get rid of it at all costs before doing anything else - because if you make a 2nd mistake you can end up in a position where you will slowly lose your options and eventually either have no shot, or have to make multiple perfect shots.
My main problem is that I am just not good enough at estimating the angles, which why I also suck at playing pool. I end up bouncing a shot directly off a target, and it comes back straight at me and past the line, or else I end up with a rogue shot that goes into a vast empty area and fills up half the screen, forcing me out of my system and into areas where I am making difficult shots to recover, and I am just not good enough to pull those off consistently.
