I got and it and listened to it. As a HUGE fan of Kid A and Amnesiac I must say this album is really good. It has elements of everything in it and I really really like it!

I think we will see more acts like this come to CGY now that we have officially passed the 1 million population mark. That seems to be an attractor.

The only song on the album that I really don't like is House of Cards. The only other song that is somewhat questionable is Videotape - I love the song but the live version is much better.

I agree with this. Sounds to me like they overproduced House of Cards a bit, it could do without the echo/reverb on the vocals; Videotape sounded better live, with the added drums and the progressive beat. Still, not really griping. Best stuff from Radiohead since Kid A IMO.

That would be nice. I wouldn't feel so bad about the Max Bell show then. Although I also regret not having seen them when they played Mac Hall, which was even further back in tha day...
Anybody ever hear the original "Reckoner," which the band only played once live back in 2001? Only thing that's the same is the name.

Man I totally remember that incident! That was my first concert...pretty good way to start. I've seen Radiohead 3 times. Each one was progessively better. They are just flat out the best band in the world, in the studio and live.

I couldn't justify the cost. I will likely buy the CD when it comes out. For now, I paid for the digital download.
On first listen, I wasn't blown away. I don't want to let hype get to me. But I listened to it about 8 times today, and am liking it more and more.
I am usually into rock, so Bodysnatchers really gets me moving. As with Jigsaw Falling Into Place. Weird Fishes is fun too.

Incidentally, I'll probably be buying this album tonight if their website is working fine.

he has a lazy eye that makes him look kind of funny. Especially when he's in the zone because he makes extra odd faces and movements then.

There was no need to torrent it. You put in the price you want to pay on their website. If you put zero, that is an acceptable price and you can still download it.

^ your car stereo probably doesnt have the capability to play mp3's, or, it comes as a .zip so you have to unzip the file to the desktop, then burn that folder to a cd

In Rainbows has uptempo guitar songs and moody acoustic ballads, full of headphone-tweaking sound effects. All of it rocks; none of it sounds like any other band on earth; it delivers an emotional punch that proves all other rock stars owe us an apology.

Wow, this album is fantastic. It gets better and better with each listen. As someone else mentioned earlier, I personally find that this is a sign of a really great album - much like basically every Tool album. I'm usually pretty meh on them for the first listen or so, and then it just clicks and you realize that it is absolute brilliance.
I think Arpeggi, All I Need, Reckoner, and Videotape are my favs right now. The whole thing is great though.

From Wikipedia;
As a child, Yorke underwent five surgical operations to correct a paralysed left eye he had had since birth. He has claimed that the last surgery was "botched", giving him his trademark drooping eyelid.

It is now rumoured that they have "sold" 1.2 million copies, so far.
