Bought the Belkin 750VA UPS from today's sale. Good deal at $50, goes for over $100 from memoryexpress.

I looked at the UPS, but everything else I have bought with the Belkin name has just been craptacular- I had to pass.

I had one from them before and it worked fine for the life of the batteries, so though it was worth another chance for the price.

But normally I agree I avoid Belkin.

I usually don't like 22" monitors, they all use TN panels as far as I know, and I like the quality of S-IPS panels (often used in 20" widescreen LCDs) more.. It's just different types of technology in making the LCD.

Plus at 22" with the same 1680 x 1050 resolution, that's almost too big for that resolution, I like 20" at that resolution or 1920 x 1200 of the 24".

The 2007FPW is a much better screen, especailly for gaming. It's more $$ of course though.

They've got the digital picture frames available today. I picked one up as a gift for my parents.

Yeah, the 10.5" digital picture frame for $150 is nice.

I'm really tempted to get that 42" LCD TV for $700 though.

Damn you Dell!

OK Photon- please tell me why I shouldn't buy that TV.

The TV is very tempting, if it had a card slot of USB I would pick up two and use them as picture frames like that.

Oh yah, if you get the TV, you will need to tweak it.

Some setting tried can be found here:

If anyone is looking for a new mp3 player, that Sandisk Sansa that they have on today is an awesome deal on an awesome player.

I bought it for my gf about a month ago now and she just loves it and the battery takes her almost through two full 11 hour work days! I paid $100 for it on sale at Future Shop.

I pulled the trigger on the TV.
Majority of the reviews seem good.

Is it worth buying a TV that is 720p though?
I am trying to decide.

If you primarily watch broadcast TV, or aren't planning on buying a Blu-ray/HD-DVD right away, then 720p is OK.

I would buy this as a "transition" TV. Buy this, and get an HD cable box. Wait 2 years for technology to catch up and standardize, and then buy a $3000 TV. Then this becomes the bedroom TV.

Yeah, I'm happy with my 720p TV until the format war gets sorted. And that could take awhile...

I just got a Shaw digital/PVR box 1/2 year ago. Would I gain much by getting a HD.
