Yeah its great to see him have a good tourney. I think he was a guy that could've challenged Woods more regularly if not for his back(?) problems.

This has been an interesting Sunday so far, Woods is having an up and down round giving the other guys a chance. Ames is not having the greatest round, could it be all the pressure of playing with Tiger? Austin and Els have provided an interesting finish. With Woods leading only by 1, he roars back with a birdie and a perfect tee shot with the driver. Should be an interesting finish coming up.

Ames is plummeting like a stone. +7 on the round after 15

Well surprise surprise, Tiger takes it with a -8 aggregate. Woody Austin mounted quite a charge and it's almost too bad he wasn't in that final group today. Austin was talking a bit and looked like he was up to the challenge too. Would have been interesting to see the two go head to head. But credit Woods for a great round on Friday and being able to steer it home from there. 31 years old and 13 majors...it took Jack till he was 35 to get to that number and from 31 to 37 were the years that Jack owned the majors finishing first or second at a majority of them. I'm thinking that 6 years from Tiger might be holding up the Wannemaker trophy celebrating his 19th career major.

Well I didn't get to watch it, I decided to do some golfing myself instead. Plus I kinda figured what was going to happen after the 2nd hole.
I feel bad for Ames....+6...YIKES! I will have to watch the highlights but it sound slike he had just as much fun as I did out there
Tiger only needs 6 more to beat Jack, I am thinking he does it by 2010!

And here I thought Woody Austin was going to be the one to fold like a cheap tent on a rainy night. Ernie Els had a chance but a missed a few putts and made some questionable choices from the tee.
Gotta feel bad for Ames. Not to many golfers can handle the intense pressure of playing with Tiger in the final round.

Isn't this the 2nd time Ames has melted down when playing with Tiger?

Yeah, I think if he's playing in the second last group on Sunday that he likely plays a bit better round and goes on to earn a bit better paycheque. Oh well he had a couple shots at majors this year where he was there early in the round on Sunday. Hopefully he can take something from it and figure out how to play holes 55 to 72 better next season.
