Its really too bad. The defence let the team tonight imo. Sure the offence didn't play well in the first half. That time count penalty really cost the team and than the bobbled snap on the FG. But Payton has run for something like 160 yards tonight.

I'm sorry, but this loss was direct result of bad penalties and stupid plays by the offense. The defense made some mistakes but they gave the offense as much of a chance as they could with two fumbles and four sacks.

And absolutely no ability to stop the Montreal running game.

The defense was horrible out there and, although the offense wasn't much better, were fully to blame for the loss.

Calgary gassed this one with those two ridiculous blown drives within the five yard line. Blowing the hold on the FG attempt in the dying seconds of the first half, and then Burris' timecount violation on the QB sneak to eliminate a TD in the 3rd quarter were ridiculous. Between this game and the Eskimos game last weekend, I can't believe how undisciplined this team is. It just rains orange during Stamps games.

Defence and coverage teams were above average. 100% of this loss is on Burris. I gave him the benefit of the doubt last year saying that a new OC would doo him good. But jeez, he missed wide open reciever after wide open reciever. The poor recievers never know where the ball is gonna go.

The defence did let Payton loose, but they did score a TD, had another timely pick, a few sacks and really only allowed a net 23 on the road. Not outstanding, but not bad either.

It's all on Burris. Misses his mark on almost every pass, time count violation on the 1 yard line, even when he wants to go for it and starts whining to Cortez, Cortez just waves his hand at him and dismisses him, that's two games in a row they show the OC on the sideline having enough of Burris.

The biggest problem though is that we never have a good QB in the waiting, so there's no solution around the corner either.

Oh and the second game in a row the coach should have challenged a offensive play but didnt.
