On CNN they say that things are pretty much as they expected.
The key states are Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania.
Those states aren't in yet. Expect Kerry to take all the West coast states, as well Idaho, Colorado, and those around there.
Bush will most likely get Alaska, and no clue about Hawaii.

Is Kerry getting his p*ssy punched or is it too early? This stuff is complex.

It's too early. Ohio and Pennsylvania are the key. Bush looks good in Florida, but it depends which precincts are reporting. That's what happened 4 years ago...the called it for Gore and some of the republican dominated precincts hadn't reported in.
Long ways to go.
No big surprises yet, and that's the key to knowing that it's not close to being over.

Hawaii is up in the air from what I've heard. Very close there in pre-election polls.

Interesting that he wins Mississippi, the only state where African Americans are a majority.....seeing how Bush is a racist Republican and all. :P

On CNN, so far in Pennsylvania with about 500,000 votes tallied:
Kerry 70% Bush 30%
I would expect Pen to go to Kerry.
On the other hand Ohio with close to 900,000 votes tallied:
Bush 52% Kerry 47%
This is definately up in the air.

The Drudge just put this up ...
TIGHTENING: KERRY, BUSH TIED IN OHIO SHOWDOWN, EXITS; KERRY +2 IN FLORIDA
Sounds like things are getting a little more tight.
Either way, I think we can all agree it will nice to put this behind us!
|
I know that none of the major media sources aren't reporting much, but Drudge as a source? I have my virtual bird cage lined with that virtual fish wrap. Its the Washington Times crossed with the National Enquirer! Ugh!

Hey ... I didn't vouch for it, I just posted it. He had all the other information posted in this string too.
Forgive me for getting a chuckle from you of all people pointing a crooked finger at a source posted in a Calgarypuck off topic string?

just a quick question guys....
are the electoral votes determined by population of the state? E.g. 10 for Wisconsin while 4 for Hawaii.
