Hump day drinks are mandatory as well to celebrate the fact that you're "almost there".
Thursday nights are good for the reasons you said, as well as Friday being extremely slow at most offices.
Funny thing with Fridays is that most of the time, me and my buddies get too wasted at after-work-drinks to do anything too crazy later on in the night ($2 drinks?! You can't beat that!).

This often happens to me as well...I go Thursday get hammered…come to work on Friday sit in front of my computer and do nothing…than go out Friday after noon for drinks than go home and do nothing

I'm not hungover at work today but I did get blind stikin' drunk last night. Went out for after work drinks and decided I'd better start drinking doubles. Then we ended up at the Rusty Cage for power hour. Apparently I was just downright beligerent. Kept yelling things like "Sluts? I love sluts!" and "Look at that slut over there!". "Slut" and "bang" were my two words of the night. I ended up at a friend's house and my roommate told me the last he saw of me I was walking down the street swearing at a cab driver.

I am just going to write this in advance
My company is having a golf tournament this Friday…my tee time is at 7:15 in Camore so I am going up around 5:30…now this would make most normal people just take it easy on Thursday night but hey you are only young once…got myself some V.I.P. to the road house and am planning to get my sarge on…if I get 2 hours of sleep I am lucky
The worst part is that last year when we teed off around the same time, each guy in my foursome whipped out a 2’6 and we took a swig for every swing…it’s going to be a great Friday
