Actually I was never able to defeat the lady (only tried the fight maybe 2 or 3 times though) so I still haven't seen the ending.

In this order:
1. Ultima Online - Anyone who says they are a MMOer and hasn't played this game has not expereinced the greatest game in the history of gaming so they are a liar. Don't let the shabby 1997 graphics fool you, this game revolutionized the computer game market. It's just a shadow of its former self with the current PvP system, but I do still activate once and a while and run around for memories sake.
2. Dark Age of Camelot - a far cry from UO but the PvP is still unrivaled in the current MMO market. A clumsy interface and ######ed system requirement client do take away from the game.
3. Counter Strike - Source is really good, I didn't mind old school CS besides the hackers. Definately my fav non MMO game though.
4. World of Warcraft - I dont play it anymore but it is an unreal game. They did a great job and really grabbed the whole concept of a MMORPG. The graphics are great, it runs super smooth and the questing system is actually fun as opposed to grind leveling in other games. However the down side, the PvP is lacking skill and the time required to progress is insane.. something I can't afford atm. But I still think it is a great game regardless, obviously a few mill agree
5. Loadrunner - Best game ever. I used to love playing around on this game when I was little. I still try to fire up my old commodore 64 every now and then to play it but I can't find the damn disk. If anyone knows a way to play this game online or a place to d/l it please link me because I would love to play it again.
Fan06, what server did you play on in UO?

World Rally Championship is my current addiction on PSP. Pretty funny . . . and a little challenging.
I've gone thrugh a couple of Force Recon games and Wipeout Pure is fun.
I own World Championship Poker, ATV Off-road pro, Call of Duty, Gangs of London, The Godfather, NHL and MBL games . . . . people buy me these things for presents and I haven't gotten around to them.
On the real computer, Microsft Flight Simulator and Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator Europe are the only games I have and use.

Im assuming you mean me, since Im the only other one who mentioned UO?
I played on Pacific, Baja and Siege. I played on the WTFMan player-run shard, In Por Ylem, while it was around too. That was classic UO, pre-Pub 16, like back in the good ol' days when there was RISK in MMOs.
There's so many things I miss about UO. Even today when comparing it to certain aspects of the new MMOs, it's superior.

Ya sorry I got the name wrong there Thats cool, I played Great Lakes till Sonoma came up a month or so after release I think it was, then I played there till about 2004ish. I played Pac, SP with OGD/DTM.. never Catskills though. I played Pacific in the later days of my UO career when the massive re roll craze started for all the left over PVP guilds, it was after pre cast but pre AoS.. around the pub 16 days. I never knew a guild from Catskills besides XH (Xiled From Humanity) they rolled on Pac and then I ended up playing with them on Mord in DAoC. Good to see a fellow UOer .. I haven't met a person yet who played Uo in the prime days and can admit that any game is better. Not sure what it was but you definately aren't alone in missing the game
IPY was fun as well my guild, SAS, played there.. I never did get fully into that server until after they left though and then it died. I did play with Ron Mac on SP Test though, but never went back to SP live till a few months later and by then he was gone.

Haha, you played with Ron Mac? That's awesome. Like saying "I played with Johnny Cash."
Man, I still have all the old Midas UO parody songs. So funny. You let people who play WoW listen to that and I bet 90% of them say "wtf is a corp por?" But I guess we can't all have been around in the Golden Age, and that was 10 years ago. Most of the WoW crowd would have been 5 years old.
The saddest part is that no matter how hard you try, you just can't truely explain what a unique phenomenon original UO was. Or maybe that it can't be explained is what makes it so special to those who experienced it.

1. Ultima Online - Heh, was quite suprised when I saw 2 other guys mention it as well. This game for me will always evoke so many memories from me, most of them good, a few of them bad. It was one of my first online games ever, and the concept of a monthly fee at the time was so out their, too this day I don't know how I convinced my parents to give me their credit card number and pay that fee. Bear in mind this was when I was in Junior high. The absolute freedom of being able to do whatever you want, the Fear and thrill of Pk's killing you and stealing all your equip was amazing. Easily my favorite MMO to this day, probably played and thought about this game more than any other. So many good memories of just sitting infront of the Brit Bank, and checking out the cool crap that people were wearing. Alot of the music files for me still bring back memories, Brit/Yew damn I miss that game.
2. Counter-strike - Played this at a friends house one day, and I was hooked. Was a relative newbie at that point to the world of FPS, but CS completely changed that. It got to the point where I was playing around 6 hours a night, keyboard all dirty, the wasd keys all smudged, sweating and constantly twitching, playing de_dust over and over again. I remember how proud I was that one day when I finally found out how to put your own sprays into the game, and of course, I made one of a naked women :P Good times.
3. Starcraft - I remember the day I bought this game, raced home from the Local London drugs, and popped this baby in and didn't stop playing till the wee hours of the morning. The moment I watched the cool intro CG, I knew I loved this game. Awesome story, cool characters and units, and of course, incredibly balanced in relations to the 3 races. But of course, it was the multiplayer and B.net that made this game in my top 3. All my friends at school played, and we would spend all day discussing various strategies and tactics we would use, and relieve the nights battles and matches the next day. That, and our computer teacher was awesome and used to let us all play during lunch hour, nothing beat playing in the same room.
4. Baldurs Gate 2 - I'm pretty much just a multiplayer game these days, and even back then, I needed to play and compete against other players, but something about BG made it so awesome for me. I suppose it was the fact that the story was so good, the characters really memorable, and just how huge the game was. I was a big reader of Forgotten realms at the time, and seeing alot of the locales and characters from the books made my day. Meeting up with Drizzt and crew was a sweet suprise. I LOVED the 3rd person isometric view of that era (still do), and the fact it ran well on alot of PCS. All the characters had interesting back-stories, and I remember agonizing many times over cutting certain characters, just because I had actually gotten quite attached to them.
5. Planescape Torment - This game for me caught me completely unawares. I was playing CS one night, and one of my friends told me over MSN that he was playing this cool RPG, Planetscape or something. I thought at the time it was some space game or something, and didn't give it much thought. Fast forward like 2 weeks, and all I could hear from that guy was how awesome the game was, and how I needed to get it. Well, after borrowing it from him, I couldn't put it down. I remember thinking what a *weird* story it was, not your typical fantasy fare, and I was initially put out by it. The more I played, the more I enjoyed it. I never really thought it got the attention that it deserved, at least, aside from hardcore fans, but it was definetely a gem.

Seems to be a real divide between those that like arcade shoot-em-ups and those that like turn-based strategy games.

1. Counter-Strike - This game just seemed to have the best balance of weapons, players, round length and a solid variety of maps (although de_dust seemed to get the most playtime, aztec was the better of the two).
2. Starcraft - Best RTS online ever. Does anyone remember the smash tv mod?
3. Fallout 2 - I'm surprised that this hasn't been mentioned by anyone yet, a classic.
4. Age of Empires II - A good game to play online with friends. Had some classic battles of the Persians and their War Elephants (me) vs. the British and their damn Longbowmen (a buddy).
5. Master of Orion II - I'm not sure what it is about this game that I love so much, maybe the fact that you have so much control over everything.
HM: Simcity (the series), Warcraft III, Battlefield 2, Civilization 2, Alpha Centauri.
